This Hina Matsuri event will finish today, but I had to share a preview of a short movie I am making about this event. We have had a few rainy days, and the dolls were not displayed, so my filming schedule was disrupted, but I did get to shoot some great stuff.

This event happens every year from mid-February to mid-March.
For obvious reasons, these dolls are displayed on the steps of Susano Shrine in Inatori, Higsahi Izu, every morning and then packed up and stored away every night.

There are over 600 dolls here. They are extremely old and exquisite! The stairs are closed to visitors during the event period (daily 8 am - 4 pm, but visitors can take the windy road up to the midway point or to visit the shrine atop the staircase.

It's a beautiful place with a stunning view of Kawazu Sakura and the harbor below.

There are many more events like this all around IZU throughout the year, so come see us. We can arrange for special permission to film and photograph all over the Izu Penincular.

This was such a great project to work on and we are so proud Shep Films trusted AIP JAPAN to be their local producer and fixer on this film for Microsoft and Mitsubishi Electric.

The guys at Shep Films are extraordinary filmmakers and we all just clicked. Putting in the extra time to meet and build relationships with the people at Mitsubishi certainly paid off as the whole team was connected and it shows.
