Even with a typhoon on the way 🌪️, I still made beautiful summer memories ✨ with people I truly love spending time with 🥰🌻👘🗼

Now that I’m 42, I’m trying to keep life simple—taking care of my health, spending quality time with family and friends, laughing a lot, and cherishing every moment I can 😊

I was so surprised to receive a beautiful blue Nambu ironware tea kettle—just like the one Shohei Ohtani uses ⚾️😂

I really love it… and I feel like it’s going to make me stronger 🔥

Celebrating my “second 21st” was so much fun 🥂💕

A big thank you to everyone who sent me birthday messages yesterday! Really appreciate all the kind words.

46 already… time goes faster and faster with two kids😅

Had a great weekend catching up with friends in Asakusa, then yesterday we kept it simple with a family dinner at Kappa Sushi. Kyle was definitely the winner of the night after scoring one of the limited-edition Tomica cars. I think he was more excited than I was. 😂

Feeling pretty lucky. Great family, great friends, and plenty to look forward to this year.

Thanks again for thinking of me. Looking forward to another year of new adventures!

Happy first day of Spring in Japan! 🌸

March 20 marks Shunbun no Hi — the official start of spring — and Tokyo’s sakura are already teasing us with early blooms as of yesterday 👀 Full bloom is expected March 25–28, and we can’t wait! 🌸✨

We also celebrated Luna’s very first Hinamatsuri 🎎💖 with a beautiful family photoshoot!

February and March have been a bit of a rollercoaster health-wise. Daniel recently had lower back surgery for a herniated disc (L5/S1), and we’re also welcoming his family while his mum undergoes immunotherapy treatment 💛

On top of that, our Airbnbs — RakuNyan Villa & RakuNyan Home — have been buzzing with guests 🏡✨

This year, we celebrated Luna’s very first Hinamatsuri 🎎🌸

RIP Kimi-chan 💐

On Thursday, 22 January 2026, we said goodbye to our precious fur-baby, Kimi.
She came all the way from Papua New Guinea to Tokyo in December 2024, and in that short time she filled our home and hearts with so much love.

Kimi was bravely fighting suspected intussusception and stomach cancer. Because of her age (15.5 years) and her rapid weight loss, the ER surgeon gently told us that surgery would be too hard on her little body. We chose comfort, love, and peace for her in her final moments.

She was my first long-term cat and truly the best girl. A rare female ginger, full of intelligence, gentleness, and endless affection. She loved sleeping under the covers beside me, and she had the loudest, most comforting purr. That sound will stay in my heart forever.

Thank you, Kimi-chan, for your kindness, for your cuddles when we needed them most, for patiently enduring Kyle driving his toy cars over you, and Luna tugging your fur a little too eagerly. You were so patient, so loving, so special.

We wish you safe passage over the Rainbow Bridge. Until we meet again, we hope you are welcomed by Basil, Coco, Midori, Pippin, and all the other friends who went before you.

Thank you for being one of my best friends.
I will miss your warmth, your presence, and your beautiful, loud purring more than words can say. 🕊️🐾
