Bon Odori is a traditional Japanese dance that is often enjoyed at summer festivals across Japan. People gather around a raised dance platform, listen to traditional music and songs, and dance together in a circle. 💃🥁

Hidden in plain sight in Yokohama, Japan, the NYK Hikawa Maru is a beautifully preserved 1930 ocean liner that's now a floating museum with an incredible history. 🌊

Before becoming a museum, this legendary ship:
• Completed 254 trans-Pacific voyages
• Welcomed famous passengers
• Served as a hospital ship during World War II, surviving even after striking mines three times
• Became Japan's first preserved ship at sea designated as a National Important Cultural Property in 2016 🇯🇵

Today, you can wander through elegant Art Deco first-class lounges, step into the original engine room, visit the captain's bridge, and enjoy stunning views of Yokohama Port. Whether you're a history lover, architecture enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique and affordable day trip from Tokyo, this hidden gem is well worth a visit.
