An earthquake swarm has been rattling the Aegean Sea near the island of Santorini in Greece for the last 3 weeks with up to 12,000 tremors recorded so far. Whilst none of the quakes have been destructive so far the Greek government has issued a state of emergency leading to the evacuation of many residents from Santorini and nearby islands. No-one knows for sure how long this will continual, whether it's leading to a bigger event or will just gradually fizzle out.
For those interested in tracking the seismicity in the area, I'm running a live stream on my Youtube channel of raw data from two Raspberry Shake devices on the nearby island of Crete. In the last hour a M5.0 rattled the area and you can see it clearly on the traces. I've included the link in the comments below.
