石垣島で初めて撮影したアオベニハゼ！
目が可愛くて！顔がとてもカラフル！
川平エリアにはたくさんの種類のベニハゼが居て、全てコンプリートしたい！
次回は全種類撮影してみよっ！

First Photos of a Meander dwarfgoby in Ishigaki Island!
I finally photographed a Meander dwarfgoby for the first time in Ishigaki Island!
Its eyes are so cute, and its face is incredibly colorful!
The Kabira area has so many different kinds of gobies, and I want to photograph them all!
Next time, I'll try to get shots of every single species!

The Spotted shrimp goby and pistol shrimp live together.
The goby watches for danger, and the shrimp cleans their home.
They work as a team to stay safe from predators.

テッポウビと共生するヤマブキハゼ。
ハゼが見張り役でエビが巣穴を掃除役。
それぞれに役割があり、共に敵から身を守ります。

I arrived this morning in Ishigakijima and I'm with .studio in Kabira bay!
Immediately after arriving, we headed from Kabira's beautiful beach towards Manta Point!
Just when I thought we were going to see mantas, they said, "Here it is," and we entered a shallow point right next to Manta City.
Upon entry, there was a dense growth of Branching coral about 1 meter deep.
The water near the surface was hazy with water as hot as bathwater, so I went under into a tide pool-like spot with a small hole, and found a comfortable water temperature and beautiful Branching coral, creating a space just for me.
The fish approached out of curiosity, and the summer sun created beautiful showers of light, making it a very mystical space!
It's really fun to take my time in places like this, find angles I like, and photograph the coral.
I wonder what kind of sea awaits us tomorrow!
I'm looking forward to it!

本日より石垣島で撮影がスタートしました。
今回お世話になるのは川平にあるお店 .studio さんです！
着後にすぐに川平の綺麗なビーチから出てマンタ方面へ！
マンタを見に行くと思いきや「ここです」と入ったのはマンタシティのすぐ横の浅瀬のポイント。
エントリーすると水深1m程の所にビッシリとエダサンゴが群生していました。
水面付近はまるでお湯の様な熱い水温で少しモヤモヤしていたのでポコっと穴の空いたタイドプール的なところがあったので下に入ってみると気持ちのいい水温に美しい枝珊瑚があり、僕だけの空間がありました。
魚達は興味本位で近づいてきたり、夏の太陽が美しいシャワーとなってとても神秘的な空間でした！
やっぱりじっくりこう言うところで自分が好きなアングルを見つけてサンゴを撮影するのは楽しいな〜
明日からどんな海が待ってるんだろう！
楽しみだなぁ！

伊豆大島で撮影した一面紫のカギケノリ畑を泳ぐアオウミガメさん。
伊豆大島に通い始めて10年くらいだろうか。
同じポイントでも季節によって別世界。
こんな世界は初めてみました！
ガイドさんが「この時期になると一面紫になるんですよ」と教えてくれて撮影に行きました！

A Purple Sea of Algae and a Green Sea Turtle in Izu Oshima
Here's a new print I've created: a green sea turtle swimming through a field of purple Kagikenori (a type of algae) that stretches as far as the eye can see in Izu Oshima.
It's been about 10 years since I started visiting Izu Oshima.
Even the same spot can transform into a completely different world depending on the season.
This purple view was a first for me!
My guide told me, "It turns entirely purple around this time of year," and we went out to capture it.
This new print will be on display and available for purchase at held in Yoyogi Park from July 11th to July 13th.

Yesterday and the day before, I had the pleasure of attending a cross-over course to at in Hayama!
After successfully completing it, I was guided through the beautiful waters of Hayama today.
The plan was to focus on macro photography, but then "Paako chan" (the dive guide) called me over underwater, saying, "The bigfin reef squids are looking great!" And indeed, there was a good number of bigfin reef squids spawning!
What's more, they were incredibly approachable!
I felt incredibly lucky!
Nearby, there was a fish reef absolutely covered in bigfin reef squid eggs, so I asked Par-ko-chan to be my model. I've never seen such a sight!
We also explored various macro subjects.
It's amazing how much marine life there is in the ocean so close to Tokyo!
The surface water temperature was around 25 degrees Celsius, truly feeling like summer is approaching!

昨日、一昨日と葉山にあるダイビングショップダイビングショップＮＡＮＡさんで SSI にクロスオーバーする講習を開催していただきました！
無事に終え、今日は葉山の海を案内していただきました！
予定ではマクロメインで潜ろうと思ってたら、「アオリイカがいい感じです！」と水中でパーこちゃんに呼んでもらったらいい感じの数のアオリイカが産卵してました！
しかも、かなり寄れる！！！
めちゃめちゃラッキーでしたよ！
近くには魚礁があってそこにはみっちりとアオリイカの卵があったのでパーこちゃんにモデルになっていただきました！
こんな光景見た事ない！

そしてマクロも色々と案内していただきました！
東京からこんなに近い海にもたくさんの生き物がいるんですよね！
水温も水面は25度くらいあって夏が近づいてる感じがしました！

撮影クルーとして一緒に行った
「NHK ワイルドライフ　
熱帯の国　パプアニューギニア　精霊宿る秘境の海に迫る」
の再放送が終わりました。
改めて多くの方から嬉しい感想を頂きました！
今回は水中写真家の中村卓哉さん .photographer が主役となってパプアニューギニアの大自然をめぐる1時間半の自然番組。
現地で出会えた生き物や人々、そして大自然は冒険心をくすぐる物でした！
この様な大自然がこの先も残っていく事、そして多くの人にこの美しい自然を知って頂きたいです！

After Osezaki, I finally got to visit Ita after a long time!
I thought the Hondawara seaweed season might be ending, but it seems the water temperature is high this year, and the seaweed was beautiful!
Not just the seaweed, but the number of Neon damselfish was incredible!
I was lucky to have the sun shining too!
I was thinking to go there not too early but after seeing 's post about the Red belted Anthias spawning, I thought, "I want to see that too!"
So, I rushed over early in the morning!
The sheer number of Red belted Anthias was amazing, and it was fun to take wide-angle shots of the males tightly clustered together.
I also got to play around with macro photography, learning various tips!
I tried photographing a Balloon worm using my snoot, and the Ornate Ghost Pipefish hiding among the beautiful soft corals was so cute!
And then, near the caisson, was that a Square-spot fairy basslet!?
It might be my first time seeing one in Izu!!
It really reminded me how interesting the Ita ocean is.
I want to visit much, much more often!
To everyone at Ita Diving Center and all the guests, thank you for being so friendly!
I'll be back again soon!!!

大瀬崎の後は久しぶりに井田の海にお邪魔してきました！
もうホンダワラは時期的に終盤かな！？
と思ってたけど、今年は水温が高いようで海藻が美しかったですよー！
海藻もそうですが、ソラスズメダイの数がすごい事に！
太陽も入ってくれてラッキーでした！
最初はゆっくり行こうかなと思ってたけど、のアカオビハナダイの産卵の投稿を見てたら「俺も見てみたい！」と思い、急遽早朝からお邪魔させて頂きました！
アカオビハナダイの数がすごくてオスがギュッと固まってる姿もワイドで撮影するのが楽しかったですね〜

マクロも色々教えて頂いて遊んでみました！
のスヌートを使ってフウセンゴカイを撮影してみたり、美しいソフトコーラルの間に隠れていたニシキフウライウオも可愛かったな〜
ほんで、ケイソンのところにいたのがスミレナガハナダイ！？
伊豆で初めて見たかも！！
改めて井田の海の面白みを感じました〜
もっともっと通いたいな〜

I recently went diving at Osezaki after a long time!
It was my first visit since Osezaki Marine Service had its grand reopening, and the facilities were incredibly clean and comfortable!
The underwater world offered so many interesting scenes that I ended up doing four dives!
First, in the shallows, the Sargassum seaweed had grown all the way to the surface, creating a mystical world.
The visibility was excellent, and I really enjoyed the wide-angle opportunities!
For macro photography, I wanted to play around with the snoot on my Sea&Sea YS-D3 DUO strobe, so I took my time meticulously shooting subjects like the Yellow Pygmy Goby and the Saw blade shrimp.
And for the first time, our guide, Itsuki Wakamatsu, showed us the courtship behavior of the male Red belted anthias, and we even witnessed them spawning! I happened to capture the spawning scene, but it's still far from being a masterpiece.
Documenting ecological behavior is quite challenging! However, the male Red-belted anthias' nuptial coloration was simply beautiful, and just photographing the males individually was fantastic!
I don't remember ever seeing so many Red-belted Anthias before!
Izu is really hot right now during breeding season!
I'm planning another trip to Osezaki very soon!

先日は久しぶりに大瀬崎へ潜りに行ってきました！
いつもお世話になっていた大瀬館マリンサービスがリニューアルオープンしてから初めてきましたが、施設がめちゃめちゃ綺麗になっていてとても快適でした！
海の中は面白いシーンがたくさんあって4ダイブもしちゃいました！
まずは浅瀬にはホンダワラが水面まですくすく育っていて神秘的な世界が広がっていました！
透明度もよく、ワイドも楽しめました！
マクロは Sea&sea Home のストロボ「YS-D3 DUO」のスヌートを使って遊んでみたかったのでミジンベニハゼなどトガリモエビなどの被写体でじっくり撮影しました！
そしてアカオビハナダイはオスが求愛行動を行なっていて、産卵もしていたりと生態シーンもガイドの若松樹弥さんに案内していただきました！
産卵のシーンもたまたま撮れたけど作品としてはまだまだ。。。
生態は難しいですね〜
でもただただアカオビハナダイのオスの婚姻色が美しく、オスの単体だけ撮影するのもいい！
今までこんなにアカオビいたかな？っていうくらい多かったですよ！
繁殖シーズンの今の伊豆は熱いですよ！！
また近々大瀬崎へ行ってこよ！
