If you’re waiting for your life to look “normal” before having kids… you might be waiting forever.

No permanent house. No set routine. No typical 9-5. I didn’t have any of it figured out either.

But we knew we wanted a family. We’re still figuring it out, just doing it from wherever we happen to be that week.

If you’re scared your life isn’t “stable” enough yet, I get it. But it might just never look “normal”. Have them anyway.

When we had our son, it wasn’t even a question.

We weren’t putting our life on hold until he was “old enough.” I knew it would look different. I also knew we’d adapt and find our way through it.

So when people ask “why not wait until he’s old enough to remember it?” … that’s kind of the point. Every age comes with its own version of hard, and its own version of amazing. I don’t want to skip any of it waiting for an easier one that isn’t coming. I want to make family memories every step of the way 👣🗺️
