Unity of Cumilla 2001 Foundation: A Journey Dedicated to Humanity
Dear Associates and Philanthropic Friends,
Assalamu Alaikum. By the infinite mercy of the Almighty Allah, we, as the Unity of Cumilla 2001 Foundation, have been trying for the past few years to stand by the helpless, street children, the distressed, and people in danger in society. We move forward with the belief that our small efforts have become a significant support in someone's life.
Our Notable Activities:
1. Relief Operations During Natural Disasters.
During last year's devastating floods, we delivered emergency relief assistance to Cumilla and its surrounding areas. Alongside distributing dry food, pure water, medicine, and essential supplies, we also provided financial assistance and support for rebuilding homes for the affected families in the post-flood period.
2. Spreading the Light of Education.
Many orphans and underprivileged children do not get the opportunity to go to school. For them, we have ensured free educational materials, school fees, and tuition facilities. Additionally, we are supporting meritorious but financially disadvantaged students in fulfilling their dreams by providing scholarships.
3. Healthcare and Blood Donation Programs
We regularly organize medical camps where poor patients receive free treatment and medicine. Besides this, we have been able to save numerous lives by conducting blood donation programs for emergency blood needs.
4. Women's Empowerment Project
To make widowed and helpless women financially self-reliant, we have provided sewing machine distribution, computer training, handicraft training, and micro-loans. Through this initiative, many women are now self-sufficient and able to take responsibility for supporting their families.
5. Standing Beside the Winter-Stricken
Every winter season, we distribute warm blankets and winter clothes among the helpless and street dwellers. This small effort has helped alleviate the suffering of many.
6. Old Age Home and Respectful Support
We are planning to establish an old age home for the neglected elderly in society, where they can live with dignity. We are already regularly providing food and medical assistance to many elderly men and women.
