Decluttering a decade of video gear took an unexpected turn today.

I started out just trying to clear my workspace of outdated cables, light stands, and a broken suitcase. Instead, I ended up generating an indie-pop song and a surreal AI mini-movie about saying goodbye to my trusty red luggage and gear.

Letting go of the tools that built your business over the last ten years is surprisingly tough. But turning that e-waste pile into a fresh piece of content made the process a lot lighter.

What is the hardest piece of gear you have ever had to throw away? Let me know in the comments. 👇

How to Shoot Product Videos with Just an iPhone & CapCut

Here is how I shot a dynamic product video for the Nivea Black and White Deodorant using only an iPhone 17 Pro and a magnetic tripod, edited right on my phone in CapCut.

The Setup & Shoot:

1. Reflective Base: Place your product on a partially reflective surface, like a closed laptop lid, against a clean backdrop.

2. Cinematic Push-In: Switch your iPhone to Cinematic mode. Turn the phone upside down for a low angle and slowly push in toward the product.

3. Macro Orbit: Switch back to standard Video mode. Turn on Macro mode for a tight close-up and slowly orbit the camera around the product's anti-stain features.

4. Human Element: Add a natural interaction by reaching out and grabbing the product away from the set.

5. Slow-Mo Action: Mount your phone on a magnetic tripod. Switch to Slow-Mo mode (using the 2x lens) and record a close-up of yourself activating the product, like twisting the cap or spraying it.

The Edit:

Once you have your shots, it's time to bring it all together. Drop the clips into CapCut. Professional editing requires precise trimming, so trim out the shaky parts at the start and end of each clip. Add sound effects, layer in some background music, and apply speed ramps to give the video that fast-paced energy.

Ready to make your smartphone videos look professional? Give this workflow a try and let me know how it turns out in the comments below!

The Anker SoundCore 2 claims to have "intense bass," so I obviously had to put it to the ultimate tissue paper test on camera! 😂

But the real winner for me? Bypassing the Bluetooth entirely. Hooking this straight into my laptop via the AUX port gave me zero-delay, real-time stereo audio for gaming.

Watch the sound tests and see if it’s actually worth picking up! 👇

Comment YES and I will send you the link.
