Tokyo Day 2 🇯🇵
1. Nakameguro
We started our day at one of my favorite Tokyo cafés .
You may have seen it on social, but it truly lives up to the hype—such a vibe. Just a short walk from Nakameguro Station, and if you grab a second floor window seat, you can watch the trains pass by.
Their banana bread is a must—get it with the espresso butter 🤤
2. Daco?
From there, we walked from Nakameguro to Daikanyama and made a quick stop .pan
They carry some of the popular flavors from .m.donut along with savory pastries. We loved the condensed milk bun!
3. Daikanyama T site
We then explored Daikanyama T-Site and stopped by .tsutaya.
Browsed a few books and grabbed a quick drink at Starbucks Reserve Daikanyama Tsutaya.
I really wanted to try Ivy Place across the street (heard their pancakes are amazing!), but we’ll save that for next time.
4. Strolling Daikanyama
Daikanyama itself is full of boutique shops, trendy cafés, and beautiful architecture.
It’s such a fun area to wander around and soak it all in. I couldn’t hit all the spots on my list with the kids (lol), but it’s definitely a must-visit when you’re in Tokyo.
5. Haneda airport
Later, we headed to Haneda Airport to pick up my mom 🥹
If you’re flying into Tokyo, you’ll usually choose between Haneda and Narita International Airport. Narita is farther but offers easy access like the Skyliner, while Haneda is closer to the city depending on where you’re staying.
It was so special meeting my mom there—my kids were beyond happy to see their grandma 🤍
6. Hanayama udon
Since we were at the airport, we tried (yes, the viral spot!).
The Ginza and Nihonbashi locations usually have 1+ hour waits, but we got lucky and walked right in here.
The udon was perfectly chewy—I loved the cold udon and curry udon. So good, but personally I wouldn’t wait over an hour when Tokyo has so many amazing options.
That wraps up our Day 2 ✨
