🩷💚 Angkor Wat & Ta Prohm Temple 💚🩷
Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm are two of the most iconic temples in the Angkor Archaeological Park.
• Angkor Wat – The magnificent centerpiece of the Angkor complex, famous for its five iconic towers, extensive bas-reliefs, grand galleries, and spectacular sunrise views over the reflecting pools. Built in the 12th century under King Suryavarman II, it was originally dedicated to Vishnu.
• Ta Prohm – Famous for its atmospheric combination of ancient stone ruins and enormous trees whose roots grow through the temple structures. Built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th–early 13th century, it was originally a Buddhist monastery and university.
Together, they offer two contrasting experiences: the grandeur and symmetry of Angkorian architecture at Angkor Wat, and the mysterious, jungle-covered atmosphere of Ta Prohm.
