There are tons of great foods to be tried, millions of places to be preserved, and countless stories to be told in Japan.
We hope we’d be able to show you more of these things and places to learn about here with the power of the internet.
Now the Tokyo municipal government and the neighboring prefectures are requesting another lockdown here.
It’s a sad news to us, definitely. But we don’t want to cry about it and be sad.
If the lock down happens, we’d like to try to make more stories on places we’d like to introduce you and to stimulate your eagerness to visit Japan when everything gets better!
So please help us by leaving a like, a comment, and share us to your friends

Happy new year🎍⛩🎍あけましておめでとうございます。
Technically, we consider this time of the year as “pre” or “early” spring and some of the plum flowers are opening.
It’s pretty cold for here, 3C (37.4F). But these flowers are telling us spring is coming soon enough and I love the feeling.
We hope that the world’s situation will soften up as the weather gets better. And many of you who are wishing to visit Japan can make it for some good food and zen experiences for inner peace.
Japan will welcome you with open arms when we overcome this difficult time together!

What do you like about Shibuya? We’ve visited the area for the first time in about a year and saw a lot of changes...! We were a bit surprised by the amount of the people there but I guess, after all, it’s supposed to be one of the best destinations in Tokyo and it’s 4 days weekend....! - Akina

“Do you know what is interesting about Kyoto, Dustin?” and he says “What?” “Everything looks somewhat cooler here, even a normal Izakaya (Japanese bar). You know, these kind of things are everywhere in Tokyo too but somehow, it looks better than in Tokyo to me, is it just me? It could be Kyoto, it could be the fact that I’m on holiday. Either way, I love nights in Kyoto.”
“Me too!” says Dustin.

The truth is, there is so much to discover by exploring around Kyoto at night. Want to know where to go?

Our recommended areas to have night walks in Kyoto:

1) Fushimi Inari - open all night
2) Pontocho - if you’re lucky, you’d see a Maiko
3) Kamogawa river - the best place to chillax with a beer
4) Ninen-Zaka & Sannen-Zaka - You’d be surprised how quiet the area can be in the night

[Kyoto Night Walk Vol.8]
“Hey Dustino, I’m feeling tired now but I also kinda want to stay out... Wanna hang around by the river a little bit? It’s the best perk to having your hotel in the middle of Kyoto.” Dustin says “Sounds like a plan!”
This time we stayed in a hotel called Resol Kyoto Kwaramachi Sanjo. We loved the room and the convenient location to go to our favourite places. “Okay, let’s hit Family Mart to get a can of beer or something to walk around the river. If we are lucky, maybe we can find a Maiko somewhere!”
- Akina

Our recommended areas to
stay in Kyoto:

1) Near Kyoto station - easy to get buses or trains to go all of the tourist attractions
(More wallet-friendly)

2) Near Shijo dori - it’s THE main road in Kyoto and has the best access to everywhere
(Most central location)

[Kyoto Night Walk Vol.7] Pontocho is one of our must-go’s in Kyoto. Especially for a restaurant called “Yoshina”. I found the restaurant about 7 years ago and I literally never miss having dinner there whenever I’m in Kyoto.
“Hey Dustin, I know we went only 2 nights before, but wanna go to Yoshina again? I need to make up for the restaurant that SUCKED last night. The restaurant from yesterday was really disappointing, was’t it... :/ ?”

Dustin goes “Yeah, I kinda thought most of the places in this area would be good but I guess not! We were fooled by the nice food pictures on the sign.”

So here is our advice to keep yourself away from bad restaurants:
1) Don’t go to a place with a sign saying “Oishii (delicious)”
2) Leave the place if you see any staff coughing or sneezing
3) Have the guts to leave even if you’re seated (before you order) if there’s anything wierd about the place or the staff

Granted even the bad restaurants are okay here.
Follow this advice and your meals during your trip in Japan would stay top-notch
