Women-only trains (or cars) are specific sections on public transport in Japan, designed to prevent se*ual harassment during crowded times, usually operating during weekday rush hours with pink/purple signs and floor markings. During this period of time, even it’s written “women only”, young boys and disabled passengers and their caregivers are allowed to ride these cars.
Specific time varies for each train line so be mindful of the signages around the train station. 😊
