Can’t thank everyone enough for coming by to the opening event last night at . Really nice to see so many familiar faces and talented people in one room.
I hope everyone has a good time, saw some good art and got some good chats it. Certainly some good vibes floating around.

For anyone who didn’t make it last night the exhibition will be open until the 29th of November and we’ll be hosting a second morning event on the 22nd, with some coffee and bits. Some come on by if that sounds like your jam!

CASUAL VOL IV: Tokyo

Prep continues for the Tokyo exhibition at in Tokyo, 14th of Nov (next Friday) where we’ll be releasing the fourth edition of CASUAL!
Form the 14th of Nov the book will be available in person at the gallery for pick up as well as online internationally. Shoot me a message if you’d like one as I’ll put some aside.

CASUAL: Tokyo exhibition 🎉

Well it’s not been much longer than a little over 400 days since I was last in Japan shooting for the fourth edition of CASUAL but I’ll be heading back to Tokyo shortly for the release party. It’s been a hectic time but I’m excited to see the project come to fruition and celebrate with everyone there, though I only spent a short time in Tokyo I feel like I made some close friends.

Featuring a ton of artists from the editorial, come along for a chill evening with some nice art, nice people and nice vibes. Good chance you’ll find something you like. See you there!

CASUAL VOL IV: Tokyo!!!!

The fourth edition of CASUAL is fresh off the press and it’s not looking half bad! Big thanks to for another lovely job after having produced the last 3 books.

I started shooting this book last year in August, so it’s lovely to see the final product in person and to nearly round off another chapter of this project. The book will be available from the 14th of November online or via the exhibition in Tokyo at in person! So come on by for a book and come say hi. Maaaaybe there will be some sort of pre order idea but still trying to figure that out.

An afternoon spent with artist and illustrator for the fourth edition of CASUAL: Tokyo.

I only got to share a short time with Takuto though I appreciated what little time I had. His studio has this nice afternoon light coming through and a lot going on so it made for some nice snaps. Not to mention his work.

It was a pleasure shooting with him and if anyone’s keen we’ll be hosting an exhibition in Tokyo, in November for the magazine release. Come on by and have a look, good chance you’ll find something you like.

Exploring the city streets with photographer for the fourth edition of CASUAL: Tokyo.

It was a pleasure to spend a bit of time exploring the city and doing some street photography for once. I’m often shooting in studios and in one spot, so to get the chance to see Tokyo through a locals eyes and to walk around was really nice.
Tatsuki is an exceptional photographer and has a really nice take on street photography. He showed me a lot of green spaces in the city as well as a large palace. I’m keen to come back in November for the exhibition and see the city under a whole new perspective.

An afternoon with artist for the fourth edition of CASUAL: Tokyo.

I had the pleasure to spending an afternoon with Yaeko and documenting her creative process. She’s based in Tokyo but a little further to the south with a nice beach nearby and a bit more of a chill vibe and maybe that reflects a bit in her art. Her paintings are quite elegant and simplistic, the same as her process and characteristics so it made shooting and the whole process just simple.

We’ll be hosting an exhibition in Tokyo in November to celebrate the release of the magazine. Stay tuned to learn more and I hope to see you there.
