NO MORE NAVI TEKKEN.
The Ukranian esports organzation known as Natus Vincere (NaVi for short) has announced that they are ending their Tekken journey for now and disbanding their current team of competitive players for the game.
This abrupt announcement means that both NaVi players Mu-jong "Kkokkoma" Kim from South Korea and Pinoy champion Alexandre "AK" Laverez are now without a team supporting them despite still being in the middle of the Tekken World Tour. There are 16 major events (5 Masters, 11 Challengers) still to come for the tour, meaning plenty of opportunities for both players to earn points. Kkokkoma has a lot of ground to cover points-wise at 64th place, but AK is currently extremely close to qualifying for the main tournament at 23rd place.
NaVi's professional Tekken roster was formed in April 2024 upon signing Kkokkoma, and expanded a month later with the addition of AK. These two players then went around the world chasing a spot in the two major esports events for Tekken, the recently concluded Esports World Cup, and the still ongoing Tekken World Tour.
In the statement by NaVi, they thanked the two players and wished them well for their future endeavors.
