【姉妹都市・ライデン市（オランダ）から副市長一行が来崎しました！】
Delegation Including the Deputy Mayor Visits from Nagasaki’s Sister City of Leiden (the Netherlands)

令和７年６月27日に、姉妹都市であるオランダ・ライデン市から、ウィッケ・フェルトマン副市長をはじめとするライデン市の皆さんが来崎しました。
市長・議長らを表敬訪問し、令和７年４月に長崎市恐竜博物館とナチュラリス生物多様性センターが結んだ姉妹館提携についてなどこれまでの交流について振り返るとともに、令和９年の姉妹都市提携10周年に向けた両市の友好関係のさらなる推進について意見を交わしました。
また、長崎大学多文化社会学部の学生で、ライデン大学に留学した学生や留学予定の学生の皆さんとも意見交換されました。
市内滞在中は、出島で鎖国時代のオランダ人の暮らしについて学ばれ、原爆資料館では、被爆の実相に触れられました。

On June 27th, 2025, Deputy Mayor Ms. Wietske Veltman and others from our Sister City of Leiden, the Netherlands, visited Nagasaki.
They paid a courtesy visit with Mayor SUZUKI and City Council Chairman IWANAGA, discussing the April signing of the Sister Museum Agreement between the Nagasaki City Dinosaur Museum and Leiden’s Naturalis Biodiversity Center, as well as the exchange between the two cities up until today. In addition, they exchanged views on how to further the friendly relations between Nagasaki and Leiden as they approach the 10th anniversary of their sister city relationship coming up in 2027.
The delegation also met with students from Nagasaki University’s School of Global Humanities and Social Sciences who either have studied in Lieden or plan to study in Leiden.
During their stay, the delegation visited Dejima and learned about the lives of the people from the Netherlands who were in Japan during the isolation period, and also saw the reality of the atomic bombing at the Atomic Bomb Museum.
