ESP: Hoy se conmemoran 80 años de que a las 8:15 a. m. del 6 de agosto de 1945, una bomba atómica fue lanzada sobre Hiroshima. Tres días después, la ciudad de Nagasaki también fue bombardeada.
Es la única vez en la historia que se han usado armas nucleares en una guerra y espero se mantenga así.
La cúpula de la bomba atómica (que solía ser la sala de promoción industrial) es ahora un símbolo que, junto con los monumentos del parque de la Paz y el museo conmemorativo de la Paz, nos dan una visión más profunda del horror de las bombas nucleares y la importancia de velar porque no vuelva a suceder.
Este es sin duda el lugar donde más me cuesta dar recorridos guiados, especialmente cuando son familias con niños ya que aunque es importante entender lo que sucedió, son cosas que yo no podía ni imaginar hasta que lo vi en Hiroshima y me han impactado profundamente.

ENG: ESP: Today marks 80 years since an atomic bomb was launched on Hiroshima at 8:15 a.m. on August 6, 1945. Three days later, the city of Nagasaki was also bombarded.
It is the only time in history that nuclear weapons have been used in a war and I hope it stays that way.
The atomic bomb dome (which used to be the industrial promotion hall) is now a symbol that, together with the monuments of the Peace Park and the Peace Memorial Museum, gives us a deeper insight into the horror of nuclear bombs and the importance of ensuring that it doesn’t happen again.
This is undoubtedly the place where it is most difficult for me to give guided tours, especially when they are families with children since although it is important to understand what happened, this is something that I couldn’t even imagine until I saw it in Hiroshima and they have deeply impacted me.
