Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has streamed this song, especially if you’re still listening to it. When I first released this song, I had a whole plan to release the next one a month or so after, and then the next one the next month etc., but that didn’t happen for a variety of reasons so it means the world that people are still listening and discovering this song almost 4 months later!! I promise there is more music to come and even while I’m figuring out this next chapter of my life, I’m still making music and feeling inspired every day 🥹 Maybe I’ll even drop a clip of one here soon hehe LOVE U ALL, THANK YOU!!!!

When I talk about my music journey, I always end the story at hope for better times ahead, but rarely go into what came after hope. So much good came out of everything that happened and although it’s true I’ll never know what my alternate reality could have been had things gone “according to plan”, I do know that everything falling apart woke me up.

When ICON shut down, it felt like everything I had been waiting and working for disappeared overnight. I didn’t even consider looking into other programs to transfer into because I thought that was the end of that. But then I heard the team at pointblank was trying to help and I was so grateful when they offered to honor my ICON scholarship. Fast forward 9 months and I’ve now officially completed the program!!! And 1 year in LA pursuing my dream :’)

If things hadn’t happened the way they did, I don’t know if I would have ever taken my own vocals seriously, or sang live (3 times!). I don’t know if I would have thought about a serious release strategy so soon, much less released a song on major streaming platforms before my one year mark. When one door closes, another door opens, and although this door has now come to a close too, I’m taking with me so much more than just music production knowledge. I can’t wait to see what doors are opening next! 💛

I made this at 2am last night and thought it was really funny and now I’m reconsidering 😂 ANYWAY, sometimes things don’t always go the way you expect but that’s just life, I lived to tell the tale :’)

This was my third time singing live but my first time also *accompanying* myself live and although it took me a lot more hours of practice to get the coordination down, I actually felt more comfortable singing with the piano in front of me (for the most part lol) than with just a mic stand between me and the audience. This isn’t the kind of stage I normally perform on and it’s so different from DJing in that it requires a certain kind of vulnerability and intimacy, but singing live acoustically has helped me grow sooo much in general. I used to play sets with my head down afraid to make eye contact with anyone, but many sets and 3 live acoustic performances later (which I messed up at every single time), vibing with the crowd feels a lot easier :’)

Thank you to everyone who came out, I love and appreciate you soooooo much!!! Hotel Cafe is such an iconic venue and I’m very grateful to have gotten the chance to perform one last time here before they close their doors soon 💛

Happy 1 month of In The End!! To celebrate, I’ll be performing an acoustic version of this live on Tuesday at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, which will be my first time ever singing and accompanying myself live (read: please have mercy 🥹), link in bio!

I don’t know how I imagined this first release to go but we’re over 10K streams across platforms which is huge!!! Thank you SO much again to everyone for all the love — for every video you’ve sent of you playing it in the car, every message about you streaming it on repeat, and every lyric you’ve sang along to. My dream is that one day I’ll play this song at a show and be able to hear the crowd singing along too :’)))

Thank you for helping film, letting me use your grand piano, and tolerating me singing this song a billion times!! Love and appreciate you very much 💛

It’s been 2 weeks since In The End was unleashed on you all and I’m sooo appreciative and floored by all the support 😭 There’s so much that goes into releasing a song behind the scenes and it’s been a craaazy time, but every time someone tells me they’ve been listening at work or sharing with friends, my heart feels so full. THANK YOU to everyone who’s streamed the song, thank you for the sweet messages, thank you for the feature(!!!), and thank you for everyone on this journey with me. I can’t put into words how much it really really truly means to me 🥹💛
