Iglesia Ni Cristo to Hold Rally for Transparency and a Better Democracy

The Iglesia Ni Cristo will gather for a Rally for Transparency and a Better Democracy on November 16–18, 2025.

It has been over 100 days, yet no one has been held accountable—and the call for truth, fairness, and justice grows stronger. This peaceful movement represents every Filipino who believes that genuine democracy can only thrive when leaders are transparent and prioritize the nation and its citizens.

Together, we rally not for division, but for the sake of our nation’s future.

No ambition
No grandstanding
Nothing to prove

During a recent press conference, Minister Kimi Onoda addressed concerns about Japan’s foreign resident policies, emphasizing that only a small number of foreigners are involved in rule violations.

She noted examples such as traffic accidents and unreported land use but warned that portraying these as common can create harmful stereotypes.

Onoda, stressed the importance of distinguishing between isolated cases and the many foreigners who live responsibly and contribute to Japan. She urged fair reporting and understanding to prevent prejudice and promote coexistence.

Her message reminds us that mutual respect and following rules are key to building a society where everyone feels safe and valued.

In Japan, two convenience store clerks in Sendai saved a regular customer's life through simple vigilance. On September 11, 2025, at Seven-Eleven Sendai Kamimachi, Terumi Onodera (13 years on staff) and Misaki Ogata (4 years) noticed a man in his 60s—a daily visitor for over a decade—hadn’t come in for three days. He usually bought alcohol, bentos, and chatted with Onodera about sumo or baseball. His last visit worried them: unsteady walking, slurred speech, needing help home.

After a shift change, they visited his nearby condo. No answer. Newspapers piled up. They alerted police, who entered with a real estate agent and found him collapsed, barely conscious from dehydration and possible stroke. Paramedics revived him; he survived.

On October 31, Wakabayashi Police awarded them commendations for courage and quick action. The man remains hospitalized but stable. Onodera hopes to resume their chats; Ogata wants him back shopping. Their story, aired November 3 by TBC, shows how noticing absence can save a life.
