Akari’s class was closed for three days because of an influenza outbreak. These past days have been so busy for me, and sometimes I really force myself not to rest just to keep up with life here in Japan. But now I was finally “forced” to rest and thank you, Lord, for giving me this time.

We also used this break to have a little date with Akari. Today, while Toshi was at school, Daddy and I took her out for a lunch date. We asked her about her dreams what she wants to be when she grows up. She said, “I want to be like Mommy, a teacher.”

Our next question was how she feels our love. She said from Daddy it’s a hug, and from Mommy it’s a hug and a kiss. Good thing her answer changed from yesterday, because yesterday she said she feels loved when I buy her goldfish. 😂

Then we asked how we can improve as parents. She told us, “Don’t use loud voices too much.” 🥴
Because we love you, we’ll work on that. 😂
