G Version III “Summer Night Blues EP” out soon

Bio: G Version III is a Japan-based producer and DJ whose work fuses heavyweight steppers with emotional textures of early-00s R&B, the raw edge of horrorcore, idyllic acoustic sounds and dramatic synthetic melodies. Emerging in 2022 as a producer, she has released on Digital Sting in 2024 and contributed exclusive dubplate mixes to 5 Gate Temple’s bi-monthly NTS show in 2025. Her debut album “Scenery From Double Glazing” received acclaim from selectors like Jon K as it was ranked in his end of year chart for Boomkat. As a new fixture in the underground dub scene, she’s performed at events including Heavyweight in Osaka, Ghost Dance in Tokyo, Spanners in London and instore shows at RUBADUB Glasgow. Deeply rooted in a spirit of DIY sound system culture, G Version III takes over sacred dub rituals to the new generations in her original ways.

Born from a deep reverence for sound system culture, experimental steppers and digital dub by Kyoto-based G VERSION III lands as the 9th release on Riddim Chango Records. Hailing from Kansai and garnering attention with a cassette album released last year on the Digital Sting label, G VERSION III showcases undeniable talent.

TRK 1 delivers a heavy and slow four-to-the-floor steppers track, fusing 80s and 90s UK dub influences with cosmic synth sounds. On the flip, TRK 3 and 4 bring unmistakable floor bangers—powerful steppers built to shake sound systems.

Lacquer cutting was handled by Rei Taguchi of Saidera Mastering, a rising engineer making waves in recent years. Sound system performance guaranteed.

seekersInternational and juwanstockton return with “WARETA KOKORO NI KINTSUGI,” a sequel to their acclaimed Kintsugi Soul Steppers. This release deepens the concept, drawing on the Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken pieces are rejoined with gold—here reflecting the album’s reconstruction of sounds from Regage, Lovers Rock R&B, and 80-90s Japanese Pop and TV drama.

サンプリング〜カットアップ＆エディットで魅せる独創的ダブ表現、曲間がシームレスに繋がったミックステープ的感覚のアルバム構成など、SKRSの場合は作品とMIXの境目が曖昧だが、今作もオリジナル作品と肩を並べる傑作に仕上がっている。
