Although economic activities in the world have been suppressed due to COVID-19 disaster, the world is on the way to recovery mainly in developed countries due to COVID-19 vaccination and economic measures.

However, the recovery of the world is still unpredictable. In such a situation, We will release new tracks by MUTRON on November 24, hoping that the world will recover and the dance floor will return to its frenzy.

The concept of the track is based on the idea of a hidden sushi restaurant in a time when fish are extinct and sushi is illegal.
It's about a decadent world of the future, a world like "Blade Runner".
If there were a sushi restaurant there, what kind of music would be played there? Just imagine it.

The track is a minimalistic rhythm with acid bass and Japanese instruments. It is characterized by the occasional Koto-like sound and the break with the extremely thick bass that shakes you to your core.

The music video will be released on the same day as this release, and will premiere on YouTube on Wednesday, November 24 at 21:00 (GMT+9:00), so please subscribe to our channel and set a reminder.

This release has also enlisted the help of two powerful remixers.
The first is Lyoma, who has been a resident at Takyuu Ishino's STERNE party for 6 years and runs the abend kollektiv label, remixing a spacey techno track reminiscent of the late 90s.

The second is Tobokegao, who has performed at Square Sounds Tokyo, the world's largest chiptune festival. This is an FM sound source Chiptune remix using the M8 Tracker, a hot topic recently.

This is the SCC sound cartridge made by W2X.
Konami used their own chips in their game cartridges to expand the range of expression of the music in their games.
Because SCC sound sources can use waveform memory (like PPG Wave's wavetable synth), their tones can be expressed in a different way than PSG and FM sound sources.
It would have been easy to buy a "Snatcher" (3 floppy disks + SCC cartridge) to be able to easily use the SCC sound source, but it was already at a premium in the used market and he couldn't buy it.
In the end, he converted the cheapest used "Gekitotsu Pennant Race" cartridges and converted it into a cartridge with an On/Off switch loaded with EPROMs and a gold capacitor (electric double layer capacitor).

The equipment used for W2X was the Panasonic FS-A1WX, which was released in 1988 and was one model lower than the top-of-the-line MSX turboR.
The first thing he did after getting this model was to replace the floppy disk drive.
All the disk drives that use the belt method to turn disks have stopped turning disks due to age-related deterioration.
As usual, the used machine we got was in this condition. So, he replaced it with a type that uses a motor to turn the disk directly.

The floppy disk contains MML(Music Macro Language), tone settings, and BGM playing data that can be used with the MSX sound driver "MuSICA" (MuSICA is not included).

BGM format files can be played on a modern PC with a music player plug-in, but other data cannot be used without MuSICA.

With the binary editor, you would be found what kind of MML is being written.
In 2nd track "Sky in the chip", you can check the kick sound being created in 1/64.
