When XPEL took direct control of its Japan business after twenty years, the mission was clear — stop being a product supplier and start being a brand people trust.

At the Japan Mobility Show, we worked with Isuzu and UD Trucks to bring families closer to what keeps Japan moving.

No speeches, no sales talk — just kids in real driver uniforms, standing in front of real trucks, proud like professionals.

Sometimes the best way to connect isn’t to explain — it’s to let people feel it.

The legend began in 1872 Ginza, Tokyo, not in cosmetics, but as Japan’s first Western-style pharmacy, dedicated to science.

The pivot to beauty was revolutionary: Eudermine (“The Red Water”) in 1897 blended scientific rigor with luxury. By 1917, the Seven Colors Face Powder defined the glamorous ‘Shiseido Style’—fusing Eastern grace with Western modernity under the elegant Camellia symbol.

Shiseido was also a social pioneer, creating the prestigious ‘Miss Shiseido’ program in 1934, establishing one of Japan’s first aspirational careers for women.

From post-war expansion to creating global icons like Ultimune, Shiseido stands at the intersection of culture and technology. Its mission remains clear: harnessing science to deliver beauty innovations for a better world.

At Osaka Expo, we helped Luxembourg’s Pavilion connect with Japanese visitors — and it reminded us of something simple but easy to forget: what you say isn’t always what people hear.

The story worked in Europe. But in Japan, the same words needed a different rhythm — a different kind of trust.
