Meet Maena – a new creative force at Syn Tokyo!
Maena Sugimoto joins us as a singer-songwriter, topliner, and all-around sonic storyteller. With roots in Japan and France, and a voice that moves effortlessly between languages and genres, Maena brings a distinct global flavor to our creative team.
After studying under the vocal coach of Céline Dion and performing across France, Maena has contributed to recordings for Japanese pop groups, toplined tracks for K-pop sessions, and written for emerging rap artists – all while developing her own identity as an artist.
Whether crafting lyrics, composing melodies, or blending Western pop with J-pop aesthetics, Maena continues to explore the rich emotional textures that make music unforgettable. Her own work ranges from dreamy R&B to hyperpop and teen rock – with an edge, a heart, and a vision.

日本とフランスにルーツを持ち、言語やジャンルを自在に操るその歌声は、グローバルな感性をチームにもたらしてくれます。
セリーヌ・ディオンのボーカルコーチのもとで学び、フランス各地でのパフォーマンスを経験した後、まえなは日本のポップグループのレコーディングや、K-POPセッションでのトップライン制作、新進ラッパーへの楽曲提供など、幅広いプロジェクトに携わってきました。アーティストとしての自身の表現も、常に磨き続けています。
作詞に作曲、そして、西洋のポップとJ-POPの美学の融合──彼女の音楽には、聴く人の心に残るような感情の深みと質感が込められています。彼女自身の作品は、ドリーミーなR&Bからハイパーポップ、ティーン・ロックまで幅広く、鋭さと情熱、そして独自のビジョンに溢れています。
