Last of the winter Currypedia episodes filmed here in Tokyo today with this curry-ageous team! We filmed (and ate!) through 6 types of curry pan (bread), 2 curries and too many bad puns today.
Episodes will be up in the next month or so on NHK’s JIBTV channel.

We have been filming a sit down interview in Roppongi at a luxury apartment, an indie film in Akihabara and a flood water prevention underground location, and working on the edits for the latest episodes of the NHK series on Japanese curry. It’s been a busy week or so.

More curry shops filming today for the NHK program Currypedia.
First photo is outside Tomato, best/most popular/most awarded curry shop in Tokyo, probably Japan. We saw people queuing 2 hours before opening!
We printed out Currypedia logos and put them around the shops we filmed out, hoping the viewers will spot them. We take the stickers off after filming but one shop, Jagura, in Koenji, said we could leave it on the food ticket vending machine! Nice to have a bit of fun, taking the program to the real world.
So good to hear the stories and passion behind the currys at each shop.

3 days filming in Bishu, Gifu for a project about the wool weaving manufacturing being done there. No sheep, the wool comes from New Zealand or Australia, but the making of wool into fabric done here is exported world wide.
One of the reasons it started here apparently was that the water in the area is soft - hence the scene here at the Kisogawa river
