The popular event “Osechi Buffet,” now in its 14th year, will be held for three days from January 1 (Thursday) to January 3 (Saturday), 2026 at two locations: the Japanese restaurant Hanagoyomi Tokyo inside Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo, and the Japanese Tea Restaurant 1899 Ochanomizu inside Hotel Ryumeikan Ochanomizu Honten.

Reservations open at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, through each restaurant’s website and by phone.

The “Osechi Buffet” begins by serving each guest a personal jubako (tiered box) containing around 20 varieties of traditional New Year dishes in small portions. All are authentic creations prepared by skilled Japanese chefs—not only delicious but also visually striking, perfect for celebrating the New Year.

After finishing the osechi from the box, guests can continue by ordering their favorite dishes à la carte.

(90-minute sessions. Price: ¥6,800 per person [tax included]; ¥3,500 for elementary-school children; ¥2,000 for children aged 4 to preschool; free for ages 0–3.)
