My journey took me to Matsumoto, a city where Temari isn't just an art form—it's everywhere! From manhole covers and signboards to museums and local shops, the entire city proudly celebrates this centuries-old tradition.

I even stumbled upon a tiny second-hand Temari shop on the famous Frog Street and couldn't resist bringing a few home. 🩷 Every Temari is handmade, unique, and carries generations of craftsmanship.

👻 Haunted Hotel in Sri Lanka | I think I just found the creepiest hotel I've ever visited!

If you're visiting Kandy, Sri Lanka, don't miss Helga's Folly—an iconic "anti-hotel" that feels like you've stepped into a surreal dream... or a haunted movie set. Every room, corridor, and staircase is filled with hand-painted murals, antiques, taxidermy, and fascinating artwork. It's bizarre, beautiful, mysterious, and unlike anywhere I've ever been!

✨ Things to know before you visit:
📍 Location: Kandy, Sri Lanka
🚖 Getting there: Just a 5–10 minute tuk-tuk ride from the Temple of the Tooth or Kandy city centre.
🎟️ You can either pay an entry fee to explore the property or dine at their restaurant, which also allows access.
📸 It's one of the most unique photography spots in Sri Lanka, so don't forget your camera!
🌙 Planning to stay overnight? Be prepared for an unforgettable (and slightly spooky!) atmosphere.

⚠️ Before you go:
• Wear comfortable shoes—the property is large with plenty to explore.
• The interiors are dimly lit, making it perfect for moody photography.
• Despite its haunted reputation, it's primarily an artistic heritage property with an incredibly unique character.

Honestly… no photo or drone shot prepares you for how MASSIVE Tumpak Sewu feels in real life 🌿🌊
One moment you’re climbing through slippery jungle stairs thinking “eta ki bhul decision nilam?”… ar next moment suddenly samne dekha dilo this unreal waterfall that literally looks CGI 😭

“Tumpak Sewu” means “A Thousand Waterfalls” — and trust me, naam ta ekdom justified. 💚

📍Location: Tumpak Sewu, East Java, Indonesia
🚗 From Malang: approx 2.5–3.5 hours by road
🥾 Trek difficulty: Moderate to difficult (VERY slippery in parts)
⏰ Best time to visit: Early morning for less crowd + clear view
🎟️ You can visit only the panorama viewpoint easily, but going down to the waterfall base needs proper trekking.

IMPORTANT for future travellers👇
• Wear shoes/sandals with VERY good grip
• Carry waterproof cover for phone/camera
• Avoid during heavy rain
• You technically can go without a guide… BUT routes get confusing and risky. Many people take wrong paths and accidents have happened here before. Our guide genuinely saved us from getting lost multiple times 🥲
