Enjoy the view while immersing yourself in the Edo atmosphere in the lush greenery of Ueno. Even in the dead of winter Ueno Toshogu Shrine Peony Garden has over 160 poney flowers of 40 varietes in full bloom! I'll have to come back in the summer when they'll have over 110 varietes and 500 flowers!

Traveling to a different country means trying foods you have never had.
This restaurant has been in the same family for over 300 years and the menu has gone unchanged in that time. We had boar soup, deer sashimi, boar hot-pot, bear soup, and for dessert a black bean ice cream.
Nikki's thoughts on the sashimi: it was okay, it was a tender thin slice of game. Would I eat it again? Maybe it was cooked a little 😆
