Main Takeaways 👇🏻

-Can you dive if you’re Diabetic? Yes, but you will need to be cleared by your doctor.

- has multiple E-learning classes available with your membership

-Keep oral glucose on hand in case of hypoglycemia.

-Divers with Diabetes need to have experience controlling their blood sugar.

-Instructors should talk with their students and be aware of any potential conditions (this goes for all medical of course, not just diabetes)

-Make sure the medical paperwork is filled out properly and everything is disclosed prior to diving.

-Use the L shaped hand signal for “hypoglycemia” if you think you’re experiencing low blood sugar while diving. When in doubt, end the dive.

In conclusion, this was an informative E-learning that I think divers and pro staff should check out 👍🏻.
