If you’ve ever been hurt by your own family, this is for you. 🤍

There’s a special kind of heartbreak that comes from being betrayed by the people you thought would always love you.

You expected them to protect you.
You expected them to stand beside you.
You expected them to choose you.

And sometimes… they don’t.

But hear me:

Their rejection does not determine your worth.

Their inability to love you the way you needed does not mean you are unlovable.

And accepting that someone may never become the person you hoped they would be doesn’t mean what they did was okay.

Acceptance can simply mean:

I release what I cannot change.
I stop chasing what continually hurts me.
I choose peace.
I choose myself.
I give the rest to God.

Because when people fail you, Jesus remains.

Proverbs 18:24 reminds us that “a real friend sticks closer than a brother.”

And Psalm 27:10 says:

“Even if my father and mother abandon me, the LORD will hold me close.”

The LORD will hold me close.

That’s the promise. 🤍

So yes, grieve what you didn’t receive.

But don’t let someone else’s inability to love you convince you that you aren’t worthy of love.

You are.

And more importantly, you are deeply loved by God. ✝️

If this spoke to your heart, save it for the days you need the reminder — and share it with someone who needs to hear it today.

And if you’re ready to heal, rebuild, rediscover yourself, and reclaim the woman God created you to be, come join us inside The Reclaim Circle. 🤍

You don’t have to reclaim yourself alone.

The Reclaim Circle is for the woman who is ready to say:

“I lost myself trying to survive what hurt me. Now I’m choosing to find myself again.”

Come join us. ✝️🤍

I’m not back because everything is figured out.
I’m back because I decided I’m worth showing up for. 🖤

There have been quiet seasons. Hard seasons. Seasons where rebuilding looked like simply getting through the day.

But reclaiming yourself doesn’t always look dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like putting on your tights, taking the picture, getting back in the room, and choosing to begin again.

So… I’m slowly coming back.
To this space. To this work. To me.

The Reclaim Circle is still here. And if you’re rebuilding too, you’re welcome here. Happy New Week 🤎

Enough said..

People think abuse is easy to recognize because they imagine cheating, shouting, hitting, or controlling money. And yes, that is abuse. That is the obvious version. That is the version people can point at and say, “This is wrong.” But the dangerous part is that abuse does not always look loud.
Sometimes abuse looks like a mother who acts more like her son’s emotional wife than his parent. She competes with you, controls the relationship, and makes sure her son stays emotionally loyal to her instead of building a healthy marriage with you.
Sometimes abuse looks like family members who always take the abuser’s side while pretending they are your well-wishers. They act neutral, but somehow every conversation ends with you being blamed and the abuser being excused.
Sometimes abuse looks like enablers contacting you on the abuser’s behalf. When the narcissist cannot control the narrative himself, he sends other people to pressure you, guilt-trip you, or convince you to give him another chance. Sometimes abuse looks like people calling it “adjustment” when what they really mean is tolerating disrespect. They ask you to lower your standards, ignore your pain, and keep accepting behavior they would never accept themselves.

The conversations around the World Cup remind us that racism is still very real. The stereotypes placed on Black people and other marginalized communities are exhausting, harmful, and deeply rooted in prejudice. No race is superior to another. Every person deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity to be seen beyond stereotypes.

As a mental health and wellness advocate, I believe healing begins when we challenge bias, listen to one another, and choose humanity over division. Let's do better. 🖤

"Just pray harder."

Too many Christians battling anxiety, depression, trauma, or burnout have heard some version of that message.

But Scripture tells us that even Jesus, in His humanity, was strengthened by angels in Gethsemane. He wasn't condemned for needing support.

Christ is our ultimate hope and healer. But God often works through people, community, wisdom, and professional help as part of that healing journey.

Faith and therapy are not enemies.

If you're struggling, you're not less spiritual. You're human.

What are your thoughts? 👇

Elijah prayed to die.

God responded with a snack and a nap.

Read that again.

Before giving Elijah a new assignment, God restored his strength.

Sometimes we're looking for a miracle when our body is crying out for rest.

What if healing begins with nourishment, hydration, and God's presence?

Comment "AMEN" if you needed this reminder today. 🙏

New month, new boundaries 🤍
Love shouldn’t confuse you, overwhelm you, or make you question yourself.
If it costs your peace, it’s not love — it’s a lesson.
Choose you this month, every month.
Happy New Month.

Healing starts the moment you become aware of the patterns holding you back and decide to change them. 🌱✨ Growth isn’t always easy, but choosing yourself every day is part of the journey. 💚

Mental Health Awareness Month reminder: therapy, prayer, community, and healing can coexist. Faith was never meant to replace mental health support — and mental health support doesn’t weaken your faith. God cares about your mind, heart, and healing journey. 🤍
