WILLIAM RUTO MUST APOLOGIZE TO MOI FAMILY
A significant clarification has emerged regarding a past incident involving William Ruto and the Moi family, specifically concerning a widely circulated narrative that Gideon Moi had refused Ruto access to Mzee Moi at his Kabarak home. Contrary to this claim, new information reveals that Ruto had actually visited Kabarak to discuss purchasing a piece of land in Kitusuru, Nairobi, which was jointly owned by Mzee Moi, Joshua Kulei, and Abraham Kiptanui.
According to the details that have come to light, Ruto had already held discussions with Kulei and Kiptanui, who were agreeable to selling their shares of the land. Ruto's purpose in meeting with Mzee Moi was reportedly to inform him of the agreement with the other co-owners and to finalize the sale, with his lawyer, Raymond Kipkenei, present to oversee the agreement. However, when Ruto arrived at Kabarak, Mzee Moi declined to meet with him, indicating that he would instead purchase the land from Kulei and Kiptanui himself.
In the aftermath of this meeting, Ruto propagated a narrative that Gideon Moi had intervened to block his meeting with Mzee Moi. This narrative gained significant traction, leading many to believe that Gideon Moi had played a role in preventing the meeting. Given the revelation that this account was inaccurate, it is appropriate for William Ruto to offer a formal apology to the Moi family and to Gideon Moi for the misinformation that was spread. Such an acknowledgment would help to set the record straight and address any harm caused by the false narrative.
