Commissioner Yatich Kipkemei, who currently serves as the Secretary for Administration in the State Department for Irrigation, was among the key dignitaries who attended the much-anticipated Kitumbei AIC Church Choir album launch held today in Ewalel Chap Chap Ward, Baringo Central.
The colourful and spiritually uplifting event brought together worshippers from more than five different churches across Baringo County, highlighting not just the rich musical talent within the church, but also the strong inter-church fellowship and unity in the region. The album launch was marked by soul-stirring performances, powerful messages of hope, and a renewed commitment to using music as a tool for ministry and community building.
Commissioner Kipkemei commended the choir for their dedication and contribution to the spiritual growth of the community through music, reaffirming the role of the church in promoting unity, moral values, and youth engagement. He emphasized the need for continued support of faith-based initiatives, noting that such platforms are key in nurturing both spiritual and social well-being.
Joining him in this celebration were notable leaders and respected community figures, including former Commissioner Boaz Cherutich, Senate aspirant Reuben Chepsongol, former Baringo Central MP Sammy Mwaita, and local MCA Ayub Kibet. Their presence reflected a shared commitment to uplifting the church and encouraging the choir’s mission to spread the gospel through song.
The event was not just a musical milestone for the Kitumbei AIC Church Choir, but a powerful testament to the unity of purpose among Baringo’s leadership and the faithful—showing that when the church, community, and leadership come together, great things can be achieved.
