Bungoma Agriculture CECM nominee pledges to combat climate change through smart farming technology.

Bungoma TW01 07-11-22.
The newly appointed Chief Executive Committee member for Agriculture, fisheries and cooperatives Monica Fedha has acknowledged the effect of climate change on Agricultural production and vowed to put measures in place so that farmers can be supported to produce with minimal climatic setbacks.
Speaking at Bungoma county assembly after her vetting exercise, she said the county will also support farmers to produce during the off season period by availing modern irrigation systems and mechanization of their farms.
She has also expressed her commitment in reviving cattles dips and setting up a livestock pest and disease management strategy in order to enhance yields from farmers' livestock. She has also promised to enhance surveillance of needy families so that only farmers who deserve benefit from county government free fertilizer and seeds.
