BUSIA COUNTY CABINET MEMBERS SIGN PERFORMANCE CONTRACT TO IMPROVE SERVICE DELIVERY.
Busia County Executive Members on Wednesday signed performance contracts for the Financial Year 2024 – 2025 to enhance accountability and transparency and ensure service delivery to Busia residents.
The 2024 Financial Year Performance Contracts, spearheaded by the Department of Public Service Management and the County Public Service Board, will contribute significantly to achieving the National Development Agenda as outlined in the Kenya Vision 2030 and the Governor’s Manifesto.
Speaking in his office, Busia Governor H.E Dr. Paul Otuoma noted that the signing of PC is a significant milestone, reflecting the country's commitment to service delivery, account, stability, and good governance.
"Performance contract is a demonstration of dedication to transforming our aspiration as a government into reality also this contract symbolizes a social covenant between the government and the people we serve,” he said.
He noted that signing the contract will ensure that the county remains focused on achieving the highest standards of service delivery across all sectors which include, Health, Education, Agriculture, Infrastructure, and social services.
The Deputy Governor Dr. Arthur Odera, commended the CECM member for signing the contracts and requested the PSM to give guidelines and timelines for cascading the contract to every employee to understand and to embrace it.
Present was the county Public Service Board Chair Mr. Michael Onyura County Secretary Oscar Juma, department Chief officers, and All County Executive Members, among others.
