Newsroom s*x pest living on borrowed time

A manager in one of the media outlets in Nairobi is living on borrowed time after reports swirled around that he is soliciting for s*xual favours from young and vulnerable female employees.

So worrying is the situation in the media company that some staff are leaving for fear of being demoted or forced to resign under unclear circumstances.

However, those who are playing the ball are said to be favoured by the said chief showering them with money and praises so as to make those who turn down his advances envious.

"We are no longer at ease. The boss does not know how to seduce ladies like other men, but because he's powerful, he takes advantage of his position," a staff whispered

Adding that, "at the moment he has l bedded up to 5 ladies through intimidation but one of them is a bit cunning, she usually asks him Sh100,000 to soothe his ego, sometimes even doing it within the media house,"

Some of the staff in the media company now say those who have succumbed to the pressure to warm the manager's bed in lodgings are untouchable.

It is alleged that assignment editors fear them and are always left to assign themselves, report to the office at their pleasure, and act as spies against colleagues who talk anything negative about the man in question.

With the media businesses nosediving in Kenya owing to drop in advertising revenues, experts warn that such habits could easily sink a reputable organisation.

In this case, one of the ladies who was coerced to drop her panty for the boss but stood her ground has dared to move to court armed with water right evidence.

For now, those in the know say it is a matter of time before the man's bubble bursts.

If this happens, then it might be the beginning of his downfall and a jubilation for the oppressed..."tutachinja mbuzi tupige sherehe sana, huyo mtu ametesa watu wengi sana," said one of the staff
