Detectives have arrested prisons warder Edwin Omuse, who disappeared from duty yesterday armed with a G3 rifle, on a mission to kill his girlfriend.
An enraged Omuse stormed out of Kangeta GK Prison in Meru, carrying the carefully concealed riffle in a sack. The rifle which had been stripped had a magazine loaded with 20 rounds of ammunition.
Earlier, Omuse had been overheard saying that he would travel to Thika to eliminate his girlfriend, whom he alleged had defrauded him Sh900,000 that he had borrowed from a money lending institution. Efforts to trace the warder gone rogue in Meru became fruitless, after he disappeared from the prison, where he had been assigned sentry duties. The last eyewitnesses who saw Omuse in Meru, told detectives that they had spotted him on a fast moving motorbike.
In a bid to save the girlfriend’s life, detectives from the Special Service Unit supported by their Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau counterparts, immediately swung into action, and through intelligence gathered via our hotline, managed to trace her in her house located at Kisii estate in Thika town.
They immediately moved her to safety and laid an ambush in wait for Omose. Today at around 5pm, Omose arrived and using a spare key he gained entry into the house.
He assembled the firearm and made a call to the girlfriend who is a fourth year student at Mt. Kenya University, inquiring on her whereabouts. The girlfriend is pursuing a course in environmental health, at the university’s main campus in Thika.
The detectives immediately moved in and without firing a single shot, arrested Omosa and recovered the firearm loaded with 20 rounds of 7.62 mm caliber, which had been hidden beneath a couch.
The suspect is safely in custody, as detectives process him for arraignment. # FichuakwaDCI through toll free line 0800722203

It turns out killer cop Bernard Sivo was married to another woman Joyce and that Mary Nyambura was only his mpanga wa kando.Sivo has been making headlines ever since he shot his girlfriend Mary 15 times while she was receiving treatment in hospital.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances under which 28-year-old Sivo burst into a hospital and shot dead his 29-year-old girlfriend before turning the gun to himself later on.

Sivo appeared to have gone berserk, he went back to Njoro Police Station where he was based and started shooting in the air frenziedly, before he turned the gun on himself. He died of a single gunshot wound to his head.Sivo’s widow Joyce told the press that her husband called her to explain his action before he ultimately took his own life.

Joyce says Sivo told her that he was pleased because he had finally killed the woman who was wrecking havoc in their marriage. The widow further reveals that her husband bid her goodbye after breaking the ‘good’ news to her through the phones.

“Aliniambia nimeua mwanamke huwa anasumbua ndoa yangu na mimi pia nitajimaliza,” said Joyce.

Attempts to convince Sivo not to commit su***de were fruitless as he hanged up the phone on his wife and blew his brains out.

The killings shocked Njoro police officers as the late Sivo was on duty on Sunday night but asked permission from a colleague to answer a phone call only to disappear and went to Njoro Sub-County Hospital where he shot his girlfriend Mary.

Sivo then went to the police station where he manned the station for 30 minutes before turning the gun to himself.

PILOT arraigned in court for successfully flying Kenyans for 8 years without academic qualifications.
The pilot, Ahmad Nassir Dirie Olow is accused of forging documents to secure admission into an aviation school.
When presented before a court of law, he denied the charges before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku and was released on $500 cash bail.
On Thursday The principal of former school told the court that the documents ATPU officers requested could not be traced since no records of the accused went to school in Wajir High School
The forged KCSE certificate showed that he got a strong B+ (Plus), while in reality he never got that grade. After making the forgery, he enrolled to a Kenyan aviation college, on the strength of the KCSE certificate and upon graduation, he received a certificate to show that he was qualified to fly a plane. Over the past eight years, Olow has been practicing this trade.
Interestingly, A pilot Lt.Col.Rtd Adan Ali who is also a director of 99 Flying schools based at Wilson airport told the court that he trained Ahmed Nassir Dirie and that he passed his exams with flying colors and qualified to fly.
Ahmad Nassir Dirie Olow is not the first Kenyan to hit the headlines for successfully running a scientific career for which he wasn’t fully qualified. In 2016, Ronald Kiprotich Melly worked as a fake doctor at the Kapsabet County Referral Hospital before he was transferred to head Meteitei Sub-County hospital. He performed eight successful surgeries.
QUESTION: Should technical Jobs such as piloting and engineering be determined by theory and academic grades?

According to the source, Former President requested the Transitional Military Council (TMC) to never allow the foreign Judges of the International Criminal Court and International Court of Justice to intervene deep into Sudan affairs.
In the message Omar Al Bashir also assured the Transitional Military Council that if the ICC and ICJ want to try him it should be in Khartoum Sudan. He also said that Sudan has a good Judges and professional law practitioners who can try him.

A serial killer who has brutally murdered five young girls after assaulting and defiling them, is currently in our custody.
The suspect, Evans Juma Wanjala who procured the heinous murders between December 31, 2019 and June 15, 2021, first defiled his victims before strangling them to death. The minors all aged between the age of 10 and 15 were lured by the suspect from different locations within Moi’s Bridge in Uasin-Gishu county, before being taken to secluded areas where he defiled and strangled them.
In a chilling confession by the killer who took detectives on a re-enactment of how he executed his ghastly missions, he gave a blow-by-blow account of how he took away the lives of Linda Cherono, 13, Mary Elusa, 14, Grace Njeri, 12, Stacy Nabiso, 10 and Lucy Wanjiru, 15, after defiling them.
The pe*****le led detectives to the scene of every murder that he had committed, where charred remains of the murdered minors had earlier been recovered. In one such instance, Linda Cherono’s decomposing body was found on June 15, 2021, near Baharini Dam, after she went missing a few days earlier. In an incident that sparked protests along the busy Eldoret - Kitale highway, Cherono’s decomposing remains were found half dressed in a bush, with signs of strangulation, defilement and physical injuries visible on her body.
The modus operandi of the pe*****le was replicated in all the other four murders where the victims were first defiled before being strangled to death, and left in the bushes to be devoured by wild beasts. In two such instances, the lifeless bodies of the victims were stashed in gunny-bags covered with vegetables and left to rot away in the bushes.
During the re-enactment, Homicide detectives augmented by their Scenes of Crime, and Photographic & Acoustics counterparts, documented forensically each of the five murder scenes, as the executioner demonstrated how he abducted, defiled, murdered and dumped the bodies of the minors.
Further forensic analysis at the DCI forensic lab connected the suspect to the murder of the minors.
Detectives have further established that Evans Juma is a habitual offender with pending warrants of arrest against him. The pe*****le had on diverse dates in 2018, defiled two minors in Kibwezi and upon being arraigned was released on bond. After his release he immediately went into hiding prompting a warrant of arrest to be issued against him by the Makindu Law Courts.
This murder puzzle was cracked after homicide detectives based at DCI headquarters, travelled to Eldoret West and took over the various case files, regarding the wanton defilement and killings of the girls.
The suspect is currently in our good hands and will be arraigned in court to answer to charges of Murder contrary to section 203 as read with section 204 of the penal code. # FichuakwaDCI 0800722203. USIOGOPE!

Kitale Woman Mistaken for Caroline Kongogo Says Attacker Lured Her into His Car before Shooting.
The mystery surrounding the shooting of a woman in Kitale town over the alleged mistaken identity has taken a new turn after it emerged that it is unrequited love.
The victim Phanice Chemutai Juma has now narrated her ordeal in the shooter's hands, who she denied having an affair with.
Chemutai was shot on Thursday evening, July 8, in an alleged case of mistaken identity by Kena Muyundo, who thought that she was the fugitive policewoman Caroline Kangogo .
Speaking to the press at the Kitale County Referral Hospital on Saturday, July 10, where she is recuperating after sustaining a bullet wound in the abdomen, Chemutai said that Muyundo lured her into his car before shooting her.
''When he (Muyundo) called me outside to see me, I asked the caretaker to accompany me, and when we met, he asked us who was Jemutai between the two of us, and I immediately identified myself. He then handed the caretaker a one thousand shilling note and told her to take it as a token of appreciation before she left,'' Chemutai explained.
Chemutai said that after she peeped through the window of his car, he started shooting at her, claiming that she was the one he had been looking for.
''He claimed that he had my photo on his mobile phone. After which, police officers on patrol came to my rescue and took me to the police station where they took my details before taking me to the hospital; I started screaming,'' Chemutai said.
Chemutai said that she had travelled to Kitale to pick her sister's birth certificate.
''I had travelled in the town early in the morning to pick my sister's birth certificate, but at around 4pm, I was told that it is late and that I should go and come back on a later date. That is why I decided to book a hotel room for the night,'' explained Chemutai.
