Kalenjin comedian Chepkam has sparked a heated online debate after launching a hypersonic missile at men.

Chepkam boldly spoke about the minimum standards she has set for any man who wants to date her, top of the list being that he must be rich. She stated that she wants nothing to do with broke men, claiming that they smell bad. She went further to say that when broke men speak, all she hears is gibberish and rubbish — to the extent that she barely hears what they say because, to her, the words of a broke man are simply irritating.

While emphasizing that broke men are loud and chaotic, Chepkam questioned why women would choose them when there are rich men available.

As I type this at my news desk, men are busy firing back at Chepkam, saying she should also be rich before demanding a rich partner because after all, God did not ordain love between a man and a woman to be a poverty eradication program. Some women have also weighed in, advising her that it is more important to focus on a person's values, goals and efforts because riches can vanish anytime.

From me here at the studio, I will just say sina maoni and leave you with a proverb that says, "The monkey laughs at other animals for being ugly, until it sees the reflection of its own behind in the river water."
