Kenya has recorded its first known fatality of a citizen fighting for Russia. A young man from Kiambu who arrived in Moscow just over a month ago was killed in combat yesterday. I have exclusive images of his body and the travel documents confirming his death and travel.
It is not yet clear whether his family has been notified, so I am withholding his identity for now.
My sources say many more Kenyans are taking up these roles with little to no combat experience, and most are misled about the nature of the work they’re signing up for.
