The Kenya National Highways Authority has temporarily closed a section of the Nairobi Southern Bypass near Karinde after a serious road accident involving two long-distance trucks.

The crash, which occurred on Friday, led to the death of one person while another sustained severe injuries. Reports indicate that one lorry was hit from behind by a truck suspected to have experienced brake failure.

The incident has caused major traffic disruptions on both inbound and outbound lanes, forcing authorities to divert motorists through the Kikuyu–Mutuini–Dagoretti route as emergency response teams work to clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow.rkradio #
