Singer Kevin Bahati is under increasing pressure to fulfil his promise to the Harambee Stars, after promising to gift the players KSh 1 million if they won their match against Morocco on August 9.
Despite the national team's victory, Bahati has not yet delivered the money. This prompted criticism from fans and sports enthusiasts who urged him to honour his commitment. Bahati and his wife, Diana Marua, made the promise before the match, pledging to immediately give the players the money should the team emerge victorious. The team did deliver with a 1-0 win at Moi International Stadium in Kasarani, but two weeks later, fans noticed that Bahati had not fulfilled his promise.

Nairobi - Former Trade Cabinet secretary Moses Kuria has shared his views on how the Mt Kenya region will vote in the upcoming 2027 General Election.

During an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday, August 19, Kuria accused a section of President William Ruto's allies of unfairly targeting Mt Kenya people.

He specifically singled out Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, whose remarks he said painted the region as entitled and superior to other communities.

The former Trade CS said remarks by Ruto's allies have made the Mt Kenya community rethink its political stand ahead of the 2027 poll.

According to Kuria, the intelligence he had gathered from the ground shows that six million voters from Mt Kenya will not vote for Ruto. He said the region overwhelmingly voted for Ruto in 2022 General Election, but now the political landscape of is undergoing a significant transformation ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Ugandan socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan revealed that she suffered a miscarriage earlier this year during her first pregnancy with husband Shakib Cham Lutaaya.

The disclosure comes after weeks of speculation on social media, sparked by photos of Zari with what appeared to be a baby bump.

The images quickly went viral, leading fans to assume she was expecting. Zari said the baby bump was from a shoot and not real.

"People are silly. They see me on my Snapchat every day posting pictures of myself, and they know I’m not pregnant. Can I get pregnant in just two days? They should use common sense. I put a hashtag showing I was on set, but they just ran with everything,” she said

Despite dismissing the pregnancy rumors, Zari confirmed that she indeed conceived earlier this year but unfortunately lost the pregnancy at six weeks in May.

She expressed hope of trying again soon, noting her desire to have children with Shakib.

"He is my person, and he understands me so much. He is my personal person and my go-to person. I get him, the same way he gets me so much. Other men didn’t understand me like Shakib. God gave him to me as a gift,” she said.

Nollywood star Jim Iyke has ignited discussions online following remarks suggesting that single mothers cannot effectively raise boys without male influence.

Speaking candidly, the 48-year-old actor argued that while women are naturally nurturing, raising a boy into manhood requires a strong male presence.

“You need a man you trust to be present. Women are built to love and care, but if you’re raising a man, he will likely turn out like the man who left you unless there’s someone to discipline him and teach him how to hustle,” Iyke said.

He went further, stating, “A woman can’t raise a man. They are not built for it. A single mother cannot raise men properly.”

Marvin Omondi Nabwire, the Harambee Stars midfielder affectionately known as Marvo, isn't afraid to show his human side. The 24-year-old recently opened up about a deeply emotional moment he experienced on the pitch.

For most footballers, a red card is simply part of the game. But for Nabwire, being sent off during the match against Angola was a moment that broke him.

“The last time I cried was during the game against Angola after the red card,” he revealed.

The midfielder admitted that he couldn't shake off the feeling that he had let his teammates and fans down.

“At the moment I was hoping the game ends at a draw or we win but not losing, because in my mind, I would have caused our loss,” he confessed.

Looking back, Nabwire admits that moments like the Angola game have shaped how he approaches football today. He has learned not to dwell too long on mistakes but instead to focus on what comes next. For him, every setback is a lesson

Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika has responded sharply to her ex-partner, singer Brown Mauzo, after he insinuated that one of his baby mamas drunk-calls him in the middle of the night.

Mauzo recently sparked speculation after claiming on social media that one of his four baby mothers phones him at 1 a.m.—a time he argued should only be reserved for emergencies.

Though he did not mention Vera by name, fans were quick to link the remarks to her, flooding her platforms with comments and accusations.

Comedian Eric Omondi has found himself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons after his beloved Manchester United suffered an opening-day defeat against Arsenal.

A die-hard Red Devils supporter, Eric had gone online before the clash, confidently declaring that United would brush aside their rivals.

In a bold gesture, he even promised hefty rewards depending on the result, calling out celebrity Arsenal fans Useful Idioty, Joe Muchiri, and Carol Radull.

The KSh 400,000 Gamble

“I know this is a walkover game. Hii ni game imeisha before ianze...if Arsenal beat Manchester United, you can be sure that I will give you KSh 400,000 each, and you know I keep my word,” he declared confidently.

But the game did not follow his script. Ricardo Caglafiori’s 13th-minute strike, capitalising on a goalkeeping blunder, proved to be the difference as United slumped to a 1-0 defeat.

Despite dominating large spells, United’s appeals for penalties were waved away, leaving fans frustrated.

Arsenal Fans Demand Their Dues
Eric’s silence after the final whistle has not gone unnoticed. The very celebrities he had promised cash rewards were quick to remind him of his pledge.

Joe Muchiri reposted Eric’s initial video with the caption: “Kuna deni hapa Erico (Eric, you have a debt here).”

Carol Radull also pointedly noted his silence, while Useful Idioty went further by posting a video of himself attempting to call Eric, who did not pick up. “Dawa ya deni ni kulipa, Eric Omondi shika simu yangu,” Idioty quipped.
