Outgoing Embu governor Martin Wambora has skipped the swearing-in ceremony of his successor Cecily Mbarire and her deputy Kinyua Mugo.

Wambora's decision to skip is still known.

His seat remained empty for the better part of the swearing-in ceremony for the incoming governor.

A nine-year-old boy dressed in full school uniform was this morning seen by traffic police officers driving himself to school.

His father, 40, was in the front passenger seat and little sister in the backseat.

When the boy was flagged by police officers, he drove speedily.
