A family in Bugaa village mt elgon costituency chased a man yesterday, who had presented himself with his family members so that they could pay the bride price.
The family arrived at noon and they were welcomed ceremoniously inside the house, food and drinks were in plenty and everyone here ate to their fill untill the long lines were witnessed in toilets,
It reached a moment when Mangrita,in real it's magret but sabaots term it like that, she was the MC stood up,held the microphone upside down, but was later assisted by a sharp brownguy called Chongwony on how the microphone is handled,Mangrita proceeded to direct visitors to other neighbors toilets.
After they were done with eating,it was now the turn of the visitors to give the family of the girl dowry, and the man marrying this wife was requested to stand and to say what he had brought,
I heard the man saying in his luyha dialect,"tiraiva entako kwa kari uleteko hiso fituu" meaning, "driver go and bring those stuff"
The man now broke the silence and said that,he had brought 2 liters of sanitizer, one kilo of unga branded Hodari,10 facemasks which were green and further more locally made,
And finnaly,he stated that,he had 330 Kenya shillings and he would send the money to the mother.
Immediately, the woman collapsed since the food that was eaten in the ceremony had been bought on credit on a nearby shop called Unga enterprise so that just after the ceremony it could have been paid to the no nonsense shopkeeper.
Imagine him sending 330 and pesa imetumika kwa chakula ni 10,450 hata K**a ni wewe?
Both the father and mother had tailored some nice clothes for credit from a local fundi called Mr maruuka to grace the occasion and the man always told the fundi that,"wewe shona bwana ya msichana yangu atakuja kulipa"
The father in law,in help of his sons together with a tall gigantic, red-eye with a shining bald who is the head of Nyumba kumi in Bugaa called Marora managed to chase the visitors since Marora who used a choir master in his school days at Kapkirwok a with rough voice was shouting in sabaot dialect,"Onaama, onama nyoo keelach tait nyoo martat" meaning "catch the man who has a checked tie" and they managed to seize the man's phone called Motorola C11,his green oversized coat and black oversized toughees.
We are still in kapsokwony district hospital waiting for her to regain well ness while the father in law is here wearing the toughees.
