MPs elated by court of appeal rulling to reinstate NG-CDF
Members of Parliament have welcomed the move by the court of appeal to reinstate NG-CDF after an earlier rulling by the High Court that rendered the fund unconstitutional.
Speaking at a parliamentary event at Kenya School of Government Baringo,Molo MP Kuria Kimani said the court of appeal in its wisdom has seen the tramendous impact that the fund has had and it's retention is for the good of all Kenyans.
He accused some unnamed individuals for using the judicial process to undermine the otherwise good work that NG- CDF is doing and instead challenged them to be accountable for the funds at their disposal.
Baringo North MP Joseph Makilap also louded the rulling terming it a win for Kenyans for they will continue to enjoy development through the fund which he says has visible projects on the ground.
The High Court had earlier rendered NG-CDF unconstitutional forcing the petitioners to rush to the appellate court to seek redress.
