OPPORTUNITY ALERT!

BARINGO County Government of Baringo, in partnership with Teach For Kenya, has launched the Lead for Baringo Fellowship; a paid two-year leadership opportunity designed to develop the next generation of leaders while strengthening learning outcomes in public ECDE schools across the county.

Fellows will serve in underserved public ECDE schools, work alongside learners, educators, and communities, and receive leadership development, mentorship, coaching, and access to a network of leaders across Kenya and the global Teach For All network.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must:

Be a Kenyan citizen

Be below 35 years of age

Hold a Bachelor's degree or be graduating by the end of this year

Trace their roots to Baringo County

Demonstrate a passion for leadership, community impact, and creating opportunities for children

We welcome applicants from all degree disciplines and educational backgrounds.

Emotions ran high at the Naivasha Funeral Home as families collected the bodies of the 15 girls who died in the Utumishi Girls' Senior School dormitory fire tragedy two weeks ago for a requiem mass at Gilgil Stadium.

FROM BARINGO TO THE WORLD

Upcoming athlete, Mercyline Kirwa (pictured) from Lomanira in Mogotio joined Iowa State University, USA last year on a student-athlete scholarship made possible by Townhall Athletics Group, and has now become the NCAA 10000m champion after defeating top athletes including Pamela Kosgei and Jane Hendegren.

Before securing the scholarship, Mercyline used to train at Sinonin Athletics camp in Eldama Ravine under coach Barnabas Kitilit.
