CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF GEOFFREY KEMBOI WILLIAM
EARLY LIFE
The Late Geoffrey Kemboi William was born
on 1st of January 1968 at the Kapnyagan
Village, Kinyo sub-location, Kapropita
Ward, Kabarnet location, Baringo County.
He Was the Son of the late Eunice Kabon
and the late William Kakuko. He was a
brother to the late Cecilia Jepkoech,
Cynthia Jerotich (MCA) and Florence
Jelagat. Step Brother to Isaac Kakuko,
Jenifer Kakuko, Marion Kakuko, Charles
Kakuko, Peter Kakuko and Musa Kakuko. He
was uncle to the late Joseph Chepkeitany
(Kania), the late Kabon (Kizito), the late
Jenifer Kabon, the late Francis Kiplagat,
Simeon Kiplagat, Gideon Kiplagat and Paul
Kiplagat. He was son in law to David Rutto
Akui and Joyce Tingo Akui and the Late
Catherine Cheserem.
EDUCATION
The late Geoffrey Kemboi William started his
education at Marigat Primary & Kiptilit
Primary School from class 1 to Class 7 where
he lived with his Maternal Mother. He sat for
his CPE at Kiptilit Primary school where he
excelled and secured a place at the
Ngetmoi High School.
WORK LIFE
Upon completion of his 0 levels, the late
Geoffrey Kemboi opted to teaching
career. He started working as untrained
Teacher at Kapkomoi, Kasore and Riwo
Primary School among many other schools.
He left teaching and worked in the matatu
sector for a while. Later, he ventured into
farming and business until his demise.
FAMILY LIFE
The Late Geoffrey Kemboi William was
blessed with two children, Victor Kibet
(Kiambu Prison) and Vincent Kibichii
with late Priscila Jematia. He later got
Married to Sharon Serem and were
blessed with three children, Ryan
Kiptui, Ni**od Kipsang and Camilla
Jepkoech. He was brother in law to
Judith Rutto, Christoper rutto, Vivian
rutto, W***y rutto, Monica Rutto, Nelly
Rutto, Geoffrey rutto, the late Lydia
Rutto, Vivian Serem, Cyril Serem, Ayub
Kibet(MCA Ewalel chap chap), W***y
Kiplagat, Mercy Jerono and Beatrice
Jemosop. Uncle to Newton Kiprop,
Wendy Nyambura Mugo and Tasha
Jepchirchir, Karen Cheptoo, David
Mirera, Vanessa Hedge, Michelle
Chepkopus, Sarraphie Cheyech,
Denzel Pengat, Leon Poghon and Ken

Chelugo and Lavender Jerop.
HEALTH LIFE
The late enjoyed good health in his entire
life. He has never complained of any health
issues. On Friday 4th October 2024 he woke
up as usual undertook his day activities. In
that early morning, he took light breakfast
and went to shower in the bathroom, where
he took long time bathing, it raised
suspicion, and One of the family member
made a follow up, upon arrival at the
bathroom he called him loudly severally
and there was no response. He called for
assistance from the neighbors. The
Postmortem was conducted and found
that he had suffered a stroke (spontaneous
Subarachnoid Hemorrhage) due to
hypertension leading to instant death.
May his soul rest in peace.

The Late Paulina Kimoi Rotich was born in 1/1/1917 in Sossion Village, Sacho Location, Baringo County. Paulina was the firstborn Daughter of the Late Rutto Kangogo and The late Tuyoi Jerono. She was blessed with 6 children Namely Magdalena, Esther, Florence, Mary, The Late John and Henry.
The Late Paulina was a staunch Catholic Faith and she was Bapttist in the year 1995 at Kituro Catholic Church Kituro

• EULOGY
EARLY LIFE

Kimoi Rong'uno (Kokop Zakayo) was born in 1920 at Kimalel Village, Marigat sub County, Baringo County. She was daughter to Chebon Kiborus (Kibugat) and Late Targok Chebon and step. daughter to Late Kabon Chebon. She was sister to Late Kimoi Komen (Tenges), Late Kimoi Kiplenge (Tumbolywo), Late Kimai Ngorombori (Kabasis), Late Bundotich Chebon (Kimalel) She was Aunt to Rotich Kipchumba, Late Everlyn, Late Jenniffer, Late Grace, Late Margaret, Solomon Bundotich and Musa Bundotich.

In her early years, she herded her father's goats in addition to looking after her younger siblings and the normal household chores for girls at that time. She also took up the role of guiding and assisting her step mother who was blind.

MARRIAGE AND FAMILY

Kimoi Ronguno was wife to the late Ronguno Kandie, loving mother to Charles & Martha Chelagat, Late David & Eunice Kiprono, Peter and Grace Kiplima, Margaret & Late Sammy Chelugo, Symon & Magdalene Kibet, Juma & Dr. Karen Kandie and Mary & Reuben Amdany. She is blessed with 45 Grandchildren, 114 great children, and 21 Great Great grandchildren.

COMMUNITY.

Kogop Zakayo was hardworking and instilled the values of hard work and honesty to her children. During the 1965 drought, she used to travel to Chepkorio in Elgeyo Marakwet County to work and be paid with food stuff such as maize & Beans,

which she carried all the way to Kasore to feed her children.

She was member of the community and mentored many during her younger years. She also participated in the community work, kibangenge" with many of her peers. Although she did not attend school, she highly valued education and sent her children to school in the 1950s when few people valued school.

LAST DAYS OF HER LIFE

Kogop Zakaye enjoyed good and vibrant health most of her life and even in old age, her health was relatively good. On 21st June 2024, she occidentally fell and broke her hip bone. She was rushed to Kabarnet and later to Eldoret for specialized treatment at St Luke's Hospital. She was successfully operated on Sunday 23rd June and she made very good progress and even addressed her grand and great grandchildren via video on Monday 24th June 2024. She was subsequently discharged on Thursday 27th June and brought to Kabarnet where she stayed at her daughter's place that evening. (Kapchepkoro). She suddenly became unwell the following day and Dr. Koech (Kerio Valley Hospital) came to attend to her. Immediately the Doctor left, her condition deteriorated and an ambulance was called to take her to hospital and she slept while being attended.
