Major towns of Baringo county including Kabarnet, Mogotio and Kabartonjo burst into celebration last night as thousands of Arsenal fans celebrated being crowned as champions of 2025/2026 English Premiere League.

Arsenal achieved a record 85 points after defeating Crystal Palace 2-1 during the hotly contested match in which Crystal Palace was wildly cheered by Manchester City, Liverpool FC, Brighton & Hove Albion FC, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and many other fans from continental teams; indeed the match was like Arsenal against the world😁

One kilometre, one term; this is a message by a section of Ossen residents directed to Baringo North MP Joseph Makilap whom they accuse for reducing a 13 kilometre tarmac road to one kilometre, a scenario which they said was common among parliamentarians who served under the era of 2nd president the late Mzee Daniel Toroitich arap Moi.

Such swindling was the reason why Kabartonjo- Talai-Kasisit road was recorded as tarmacked in the 1990s yet it is not because the money was diverted for selfish gains by politicians and other influential people in the society including the late Hosea Kiplagat.

Protest over high cost of fuel in Kenya enters the second day after operators failed to agree with the government despite holding an emergency meeting with Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi.

The government has confirmed that four people died Yesterday as a result of the protest and a man who was overrun by a police car in Nakuru city is among the deceased. Some vehicles were also burnt during Yesterday's protests.

Business comes to a standstill in Kenya's major towns as motorists protest over skyrocketing fuel prices which is the highest ever in Kenya's history with a litre of diesel increased by 42 shillings to retail at KSh 242 and Ksh 214 for petrol.

The protest has led to closure of businesses because of fear of invasion by goons who take advantage of the situation.

Meanwhile in Baringo the situation remained calm though matatus plying Kabarnet-Nakuru-Nairobi failed to operate in solidarity with their colleagues across the country.

Moi who is the chairman The KANU Party joined faiths at AIC Eldama Ravine for Sunday church service appeared jovial after being accorded a cordial welcome by the residents.
