New changes in Kenyan government as announced today evening by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei.

Among those affected is the government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura who was redeployed as the Head of Diversity Inclusion and Disability Rights in the Executive Office of the President.

Mwaura was replaced with former Police Spokes Charles Owino Wahongo who was also appointed as the Acting Head of Government Communications.

Reason to smile for intern teachers as government proposes an allocation of Sh 4.9 billion to facilitate their transition to Permanent and Pensionable terms; this is according to today's Ksh 4.8 trillion budget estimates presented in the National Assembly by the CS for Treasury John Mbadi.

Education sector will be allocated allocation Sh 784.5 billion which is the highest single allocation.

President William Samoei Ruto brings a non-professor as Principal Secretary for Education to replace Prof Julius Bitok who was moved to Tourism portfolio.

According to the announcement made by Head of Public Service Felix Kosgei, John Ololtuaa will be the new PS for Education.

Baringo governor has been criticized in social media for celebrating Mashujaa Day four months earlier. The celebrations normally takes place every 20th of October each year.

However, Governor Benjamin Cheboi, EBS, EGH who spoke at Mukutani Comprehensive School grounds today during the 63rd Madaraka Day celebrations dedicated the day to heroes and heroines whose sacrifices, courage and patriotism have shaped the country.

"Mashujaa Day is not only a time to honour our past heroes but also an opportunity to inspire a new generation of champions who will drive positive change in our communities," said Cheboi who was accompanied by his deputy Felix Maiyo Kipngok, County Assembly Speaker Vincent Kemboi and newly posted County Commissioner amongst other leaders including professionals from Ilchamus community.

Major towns of Baringo county including Kabarnet, Mogotio and Kabartonjo burst into celebration last night as thousands of Arsenal fans celebrated being crowned as champions of 2025/2026 English Premiere League.
