UPDATE: Police in Bungoma are holding a nurse attached to a private hospital over allegations of ra-ping a Form Three student who had been admitted for malaria treatment and wound dressing.

The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Martin Wekesa, was reportedly caught in the act by a colleague during night rounds.

The victim’s family has alleged a cover-up attempt by the facility, claiming the minor was forced to bathe after the incident.

So today while sitting somewhere, I overheard a conversation regarding a pumpkin ( malenge).
According to the Kalenjin community, you are not supposed to steal a pumpkin. It's a taboo and a sign of bad omen.
That old woman gave a story of someone selling a huge pumpkin for ten ksh only to end up buying a rope to hang himself.

It reminded me of some that I've grown.

YVONNE: Okay, Prove to us that President Ruto met with Al-Shabaab.

GACHAGUA: It's for Ruto himself to Prove that they met with Al-Shabaab.

YVONNE: Rigathi, You are not answering the Question. Why don't you want to be held accountable for your own words?
