THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM

Scripture Reading: Matthew 9:35-38.

Memory Verse: Matthew 9:35.

1. What example does the Messiah give us concerning the Gospel? Matthew 9:35; see also Mark 1:14.

2. What were the signs the Savior gave to John to show that He was the Christ? Luke 7:22.

3. What commandment did Christ give to those that follow Him? Mark 16:15.

4. What ministry did the Apostle receive from the Savior? Acts 20:20-24.

5. Are we sent out to preach the Gospel? Romans 10:15.

6. How important is it to preach the Gospel? 1 Corinthians 9:16.

7. To whom should the Gospel be preached, and by what power do we preach it? Romans 1:16.

8. What Gospel must be preached first before Christ returns?Matthew 24:14, see also Mark 13:10.

9. What are we told will happen to any man that would preach another Gospel? Galatians 1:9.

Note. What a blessing it is to be a minister of the Gospel. The Bible tells us that the Father desires all His children to know Him, therefore He has
commissioned us to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom to every nation, and to all people. Let us carry this truth with unwavering faith, and let us be ready at all times to serve Him.

THE LIFE OF THE APOSTLES

Scripture Reading: Acts 2.

Memory Verse: Acts 2:42.

1. Whose example did the Apostle Peter say that the followers of the Lord should use? I Peter
2:21; I John 2:6; Ephesians 5:1.

2. In following the steps of Jesus, how zealous and enthusiastic were the apostles of Jesus; in response to the heavenly calling? Matthew 4:18-22; Mark 10:28.

3. After forsaking their private engagements (works) for the sake of the Gospel, how did some, who were servants and top officials of the government of their country react? Luke 5:27-32; Philippians 3:7,8; Luke 19:1-8.

4. Through what means were these devoted disciples of Jesus earning their livelihood? I Corinthians 4:12; Acts18:3.

5. Was there a unanimous and singleness of mind and heart in their midst? Acts 4:32; 2:46.

6. What was the apostle’s attitude towards the calamity and welfare of their fellow-brethren?

Lesson for May 11, 2024

THEY THAT ARE CHRIST'S HAVE CRUCIFIED THE FLESH

Scripture Reading: Romans 6:1-18.

Memory Verse: Galatians 5:24.

1. In the beginning of Romans 6, is Paul introducing a new subject, or is it a continuance of the
subject of the previous chapter? Do you think Paul and other evangelists should dwell so much on this subject?

2. In preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, did Paul lay more stress on the above subject, or
more upon grace, love, etc? Romans 6:23.

3. Just what do you think is meant by the title of this lesson? See Galatians 5:24; Colossians 3:5-9 as well as many others.

4. According to Romans 6:3, 4, what does baptism signify?

5. Now, if we die with Christ in the watery grave, are we set free from the curse of Adam? Romans 6:6, 7.

6. Do you think the suffering of the flesh mentioned in I Peter 4:1, 2 refers to physical pain? Explain.
7. How could the gospel have been preached to the dead as expressed in 1 Peter 4:6 and how can one be baptized for the dead as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15:29?

8. Will being dead unto sin and all things in this life benefit us in the life to come? Consider Romans 6:8-11.

9. What wonderful admonition does Paul give in Romans 6:12, 13?

She may not be known by many, she's the wife to the first Kenyan COG7 chairman 'overseer "Elder Samwel Muchiri Wabande.

Elder Wabande may miss in many people memories as he maintained a low status after onslaughts from his fellow ministers.

Mama Elijah as she's commonly known, recalls "ilipofika 1973 watu walianza kupigania ukubwa (when it reached 1973 people started fighting for leadership)" It discourages that 51 years later, still some ministers in COG7 fight over leadership.

Lesson for April 13, 2024

SCRIPTURAL PROOF THAT CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD

Note. There were over 250 text of Old Testament scripture fulfilled in the events of the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ the Messiah. Besides His great miraculous power in healing the sick and raising the dead, Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies concerning
the promised Jewish Messiah.

Scripture reading: 1 Cor. 15:1-9; John 5:38-47.

Memory verse: John 5:46

1. What part of the scriptures is referred to in John 5:38?

2. Did Paul declare that our Saviour came according to the Old Testament? 1 Cor. 15:3,4

3. Was the Messiah, for whom the Jews look today, to come as a mighty ruler, or was He to come as a child? Isa. 7:14, 16; 9:6,7; 11:1.

Note. The sign was that a virgin would conceive and bring forth this child, and also that the land would be deprived of both kings before he would be old enough to know good and evil.
Herod died (Matt. 2:14, 15) and Archelaus reigned in his place and was also deposed, before the Christ child was six years of age according to all historical accounts.
4. Where was He to be born? Micah 5:2; Matt. 2:1-5.

5. Was Christ Jesus to be cut off and slain, or was he to restore the kingdom? Dan. 9:26 (first part).

6. What was to happen to Jerusalem after He was cut off? Was the land to be desolate? Dan. 9:26(last part.)

Note. If the first coming of the Messiah is yet future, then Jerusalem is to be destroyed again and the Holy Land to become desolated. The fact the desolation of Jerusalem has already
happened (when the Roman General Titus destroyed the city in 70 A.D) means that,
according to prophecy, the Messiah has already come.

7. The Messiah was to be numbered with the transgressors and buried with the rich. Was this
fulfilled in Christ’s death? Mark 15:27, 28; Matt. 27:57-60.

8. What is still another prophecy, fulfilled in His crucifixion? Matt. 27:34-36. Compare with
Psalms 22:17, 18.

Maelezo. Tunaona kwamba mara tu ibilisi atakapofunguliwa kutoka gerezani mwake anafanya kazi yake ya udanganyifu juu ya mataifa. Hao ndio watu ambao waliachwa wakati Yahshua alipokuja (Zek. 14: 16,17), ambao wameishi na kuongezeka wakati wa miaka elfu. (Isa. 65: 20-25). Wengine wameshindwa kumtii Bwana (Zek. 14: 17-19), kwa hivyo ibilisi atawekwa huru kuwadanganya, ili wote waangamizwe.

Today in Lungalunga Coast region, Kenya a hero will be buried. Elder Charles Njuguna, one of the elders ordained by Elder A.M.Shoemaker in 1970. Elder Charles Njuguna left us with a clear history of the ministry of the church pre, during and post Shoemaker mission. When our crew visited him for a video recording, he had a very good memories of all the events that took place in 1960's and 1970's. In his library, he had photos of those events and could event quote from "The History of the True Region" by Elder A.N.Dugger.

Lesson for March 23, 2024

*THE TIME OF THE END AND DELIVERANCE*

Scripture Reading: Psalms 91.
Memory Verse: Daniel 12:1.

1. Just before the dead are resurrected, what conditions will prevail on the earth? Daniel 12:1, 2; Revelation 11:18.

2. What city will be made burdensome to all nations; against which they will direct their armies during the time of trouble? Zechariah 12:2, 3; 14:1-3.

3. What is especially said about those who are wise in the knowledge of God during the time of the end? Daniel 12:3, 4, 10.

4. What is further said of God’s watchmen? Isaiah 52:8, 9.

5. What is said about the chariots (modern means of travel), when the message of God’s preparation is going forth in these last days? Nahum 2:3, 4.

6. What is prophesied about the troubled condition of the hearts of men, and distress in the nations of the world, just before the coming of the Lord? Luke 21:24-27.

Je, Yahshua alisema nini kuhusu hali ya siku za mwisho? Luka 17:26-326.

Je, hali ya ulimwengu katika wakati wa Nuhu ilikuwa gani katika mambo ya kiroho? Mwa. 6:5- 8.

Maelezo. Hii inaeleza kwa uwazi kabisa kuhusu hali katika wakati wa sasa, kuwa na tamaa na rushwa. Watu wanapenda anasa za ulimwengu, na wasiojali wengine, lakini wenye kujipenda wenyewe. Ni wana wa Bwana wachache tu, ndio wanaojitolea kwa wengine, hili wasikie maneno ya uzima wa milele na kuokolewa.

Jinsi gani Paulo alisema kuhusu watu kuzingatia ukweli na mafundisho ya kweli katika nyakati hizi? 2 Tim 4:3, 4.

Je, hali ya kiroho ni gani kwa kipindi cha mwisho katika vipindi saba vya kanisa, kipindi cha Laodikia? Angalia Ufu. 3:14-17.

*SPIRITUAL CONDITIONS OF THE LAST DAYS*

*Scripture reading:* Matthew 24:36-51.

*Memory verse* : Luke 17:26.

1. What did Jesus say would be the condition of the world at His second coming? Luke 17:26-30.

2. What was the condition of the world in Noah’s day spir­itually speaking? Gen. 6:5-8.

3. How were they in the days of Lot? Gen 19:13; 2 Pet. 2:6-8.

4. How did Paul describe the spiritual condition of the last days? 2 Tim 3:1-5.

*Note* . – This clearly describes present conditions, with greed and graft. People are coveting the gain of this world, and have no responsibility for others, but only for self, Just a few of the Lord’s own children are giving of their means and are sacrificing for others, that they might hear the words of eternal life and be saved.

5. How did Paul say people would regard truth and sound doctrine in these times? 2 Tim 4:3, 4.

6. What was to be the spiritual conditions of the last of the seven periods of the church, the Laodicean period? See Rev. 3:14-17.

7. What counsel is given to those in this lukewarm indifferent condition? Rev. 3:18, 19.
