“Petit à petit, l’oiseau fait son nid.” 🕊️
Little by little, the bird builds its nest — a gentle reminder that growth and transformation take time, patience, and dedication.

At Season of the Time Media Productions (STMP), we see this truth reflected in the incredible journeys of women refugees from different nationalities who are part of our vocational training program.

Step by step, they are gaining skills, confidence, and hope — rebuilding their lives through creativity and determination. Recently, our trainees proudly learned to sew beautiful umbrella dresses, each stitch telling a story of resilience, strength, and independence.

We believe that when a woman is empowered, an entire community is uplifted.
Together, we’re nurturing independence, self-reliance, and pride — helping women find value within their families and society.

Let’s continue building brighter futures, one stitch at a time. ✂️👗

Empowering Women, Stitch by Stitch

Working with refugee women from different nations has been a profound journey of resilience, strength, and hope. Through vocational tailoring training, these incredible women are not just learning a skill — they are rebuilding dreams, creating self-reliance, and shaping independence with every stitch.

Each fabric they touch carries a story of courage. Each design speaks of transformation — from survival to empowerment. This work is more than training; it is a movement to restore dignity, confidence, and the true value of women in our communities.

Together, we are proving that when women are given opportunity and trust, they do not just change their own lives, they lift entire communities with them.

Photography Masterclass with Kate Cash

Recently, we held the first day of our Photography Masterclass — a powerful learning experience that opened new ways of seeing and storytelling through the camera lens. Participants explored how photography can be more than just taking pictures; it can be a way to express emotions, share experiences, and inspire change.

The session was led by Kate Cash, a professional photographer with years of experience in visual storytelling. Through her thoughtful guidance, participants gained a deeper understanding of composition, lighting, and the art of using photography as a voice for impact.

This masterclass, held in partnership with FilmIt, reminded us that storytelling becomes stronger when people learn, share, and create together. It was a day filled with learning, connection, and inspiration — the beginning of something truly meaningful.

A Proud Milestone for Our Women Tailoring Program

At STMP Learning Center, we are proud to share the progress of our women’s tailoring program. Through commitment, patience, and hard work, the women have reached an important milestone. They are now able to tailor a complete school uniform for students going to school.

This achievement goes beyond sewing. It means that the women are gaining practical skills to support their families, grow in confidence, and contribute to the community. It is a step forward in creating independence and hope for the future.

We celebrate these women not only for what they have learned, but for the determination and resilience they continue to show. They are proving that when women are given the opportunity to learn, they can build opportunities that benefit everyone around them.

At STMP Learning Center, women and young girls in Kakuma are learning tailoring to build a future of independence.

With recent aid cuts, including from USAID, many families are left struggling. For these women, gaining a skill is their only hope to earn, provide, and stand on their own.

Every stitch is a step toward dignity, resilience, and self-reliance.

From Nothing to Something Great

When these women first joined the tailoring class at STMP Learning Center, many of them had never touched a sewing machine before. They started from scratch, learning the basics one step at a time.

Today, they can proudly say, “I made this.” The T-shirts they’re holding are more than just clothes. They represent confidence, patience, and a belief that anything is possible with hard work.

This journey hasn’t been easy, but every stitch tells a story of determination. And this is only the beginning. They’re still learning, improving, and moving closer to becoming professional tailors who can change their own lives and their communities.

We’re proud of every single one of them. Take a moment to look at these photos and celebrate their progress with us.

"Refugee Women Take Charge of Their Future"

We’re proud to share the progress of our first tailoring cohort at STMP Learning Center. In just one month, refugee women from diverse backgrounds have learned to cut fabric and now confidently sew shirts on their own. More than gaining a skill, they are building confidence and shaping their future with purpose and determination.

This week at STMP has been a meaningful one. It's been all about learning, growing, and supporting one another.

Our women have continued their journey into the basics of tailoring—practicing how to use the sewing machine, understanding different fabrics, and slowly building the confidence that comes with learning something new.

There’s something powerful about watching someone realize they can do more than they thought. That’s what this week has been. Quiet moments of focus, shared laughter over small mistakes, and the satisfaction of finishing a stitch just right.

At STMP, we believe that learning is not just about skills—it’s about opening new doors. We’re proud of each woman who showed up, stayed curious, and kept going.

We’re looking forward to what comes next.
