Tuinuane Kwa Pamoja (TKP) is honored to be represented by its leader at the Kakuma–Kalobeyei Refugee Inclusion Nexus, taking place on 14–15 October 2026 at Cradle Hotel, Kakuma, under the theme “Local Leadership, Shared Solutions.”

As a refugee-led organization rooted in Kakuma, we welcome this opportunity to connect with refugee leaders, community-based organizations, partners, and stakeholders advancing refugee inclusion and locally led development.

Refugee and host communities bring ideas, skills, lived experience, and the determination to drive meaningful change. Stronger collaboration, meaningful participation, and greater support for locally developed solutions are essential to ensuring these contributions are heard, supported, and scaled.

We look forward to sharing our experiences from Kakuma, learning from others, building meaningful partnerships, and advancing conversations that recognize refugee leadership as essential to sustainable solutions.

When communities are meaningfully included and empowered to lead, solutions become more relevant, sustainable, and responsive to local realities.

🏆 A Proud Day for Tuinuane Kwa Pamoja! 🏆

Today, we celebrate our young learners who represented Tuinuane Kwa Pamoja (TKP) in a debate competition organization Ubongo International for children from schools and organizations in Kakuma.

We are thrilled to share that our children achieved 2nd place with an impressive score of 78%! 🎉👏
This achievement is about more than a position or percentage. It shows the power of giving refugee children opportunities to speak, think critically, build confidence, and share their ideas.
We are proud of their courage and determination throughout the competition.

Today, Tuinuane Kwa Pamoja (TKP) was pleased to host the Ubongo team for their second visit to our community center in Kakuma Refugees Camp.

The visit was an important opportunity for the Ubongo team to see firsthand where and how we are working with children, understand our community-based approach, and know how we are preparing our young participants as they continue preparing for their upcoming debate.

The children are putting effort into building their confidence, teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking skills as they prepare to take part in the debate this Saturday at Gambella Field near the Police station.

At TKP, we believe that creating opportunities for children to speak, think, participate, and be heard is an important part of building their confidence and preparing them for the future.
We appreciate the continued engagement and collaboration with the Ubongo team as we create meaningful learning opportunities for children in our community.

🤝 When children are given a platform to express themselves, they don't just prepare for a debate they prepare to become confident voices in their communities.

Our Young Debaters Are Getting Ready! 🌟

The excitement is building as our children continue preparing for an upcoming debate competition organized by Ubongo International, happening this Saturday in Kakuma.

Through this experience, the children are developing their confidence, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and public speaking skills while learning that their voices and ideas matter.

When young refugee women raise their voices, they do more than share their stories they lead, inspire, and shape the future of their communities. ❤️

Today, Tuinuane Kwa Pamoja (TKP) witnessed that leadership in action at a Resilience Action event focused on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
Young refugee women shared a moving poem a powerful reminder of their courage, dreams, and ideas.

At TKP, we believe in creating safe spaces where young people can express themselves, learn, and participate in decisions that affect their lives.
Their voices matter. Their dreams matter. They are not just leaders of tomorrow they are already making a difference today.

Seeing our team proudly wearing our branded T-shirts and standing together behind our banner is a reflection of the unity, dedication, and passion that continues to drive our work in Kakuma Refugee Camp.

Our branding gives our team a stronger identity and makes our work more visible, but the real value lies in what that identity represents: a refugee-led organization created by community members, working alongside the community to create opportunities, restore dignity, and build a more empowered and self-reliant future.

Promoting Safe Communities: Su***de Prevention

We were honored to participate in an important community engagement organized by Resilience Action International (RAI) under the theme of Su***de Prevention.
The discussion created a safe and meaningful space to raise awareness about mental well-being, prevention, early intervention, and the importance of supporting one another especially those who may be going through difficult experiences.

As Tuinuane Kwa Pamoja (TKP), we also had the opportunity to contribute through a presentation on Child Protection, focusing on how we can work together to protect children from harm, abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other forms of violence.
Children need safe environments where they can grow, learn, express themselves, and seek help without fear. Protecting children is not only the responsibility of parents or organizations it is a shared responsibility for the whole community.
We are grateful to Resilience Action International for creating this platform for learning, dialogue, and community action. We believe that when we strengthen our communities, listen to one another, and protect the most vulnerable, we create a safer and more resilient future for everyone.
