The County Government of West Pokot, in collaboration with the national administration and security agencies, has welcomed the voluntary surrender of illegal fi****ms by three individuals in Pokot Central Sub-County.

The fi****ms were handed over at Chepkogogh and Sekerot in Lomut, marking a significant step towards strengthening peace and security in the region.

Present during the handover were the West Pokot County Commissioner Abdullai Khalif, County Police Commander, the County Criminal Investigations Officer (CCIO), the County Director of Peace Rev. Jackson Alukusia, Deputy County Commissioner, Assistant County Commissioner, area Chiefs, and local community members.

Speaking during the event, Rev. Alukusia commended the individuals for their bold decision and urged the community to embrace peaceful coexistence. He emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in building lasting peace, while the security team assured continued support and protection for those willing to comply with the law.
