KEWASCO INCHES CLOSER TO ACHIEVE SUSTAINABLE WATER SUPPLY.
The team managing Kericho Water and Sanitation Company (KEWASCO) deserves 👏 to be congratulated and supported for their tireless efforts in finding a lasting and sustainable solution to the perennial shortage of water supply to residents of Kericho town and it's environs.
Yesterday, the team led by Chairman Mr. SirKelly Cheruiyot and Managing Director FCPA Reuben Korir signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority (NWHA) towards the construction of a mega water dam in Samburet area, Kericho County.
Under this partnership, NWHA will provide the necessary technical support to help realize this transformative and much-needed project, which is expected to greatly enhance water access and sustainability in the region.
NWHA CEO Eng J Mugun and KEWASCO Chairman SirKelly Cheruiyot singed the MOU on behalf of the two organizations.
The signing, which was held at NWHA offices in Nairobi, was witnessed by Kericho County CEC water Mr. Kurgat, who represented the County Government of Kericho and KEWASCO Managing Director FCPA Reuben Korir, among others.
This marks the first important step toward delivering a landmark project that will bring lasting benefits to the community and support future development.
